I hate to write this because my family and I loved this place and it was our favorite spot for kolaches and donuts, but today my wife received a breakfast taco that was full of mold inside. This is the first time we've ever had any issues with the food here. I wish I would've taken pictures. Did not expect this from this donut shop.
They know my family by name. We have been going to this donut shop, well over 12 years. My husband loves extra sausage in his breakfast sandwich, and they always provide.

My whole family loves Max's! Not only do they have great, affordable donuts, but they also have a unique spin on their items that doesn't go "overboard". Donuts are meant to be simple with a very small jeune and Max's leans into that!

I been to many donuts places around spring branch , Jersey village ECT and none of them compare. The donuts here are great. Donut holes, chocolate donut holes, breakfast tacos ECT everything is good and reasonable priced.
The baker was sitting at a table with his shoes off and his feet on the seat
Their response was because of power failure. This was on a Sunday morning weeks ago when there was no power failure. From what ive heard this baker frequently sits in the dininf area without his shoes on. This is a sanitary and health issue. Him not wearing socks and in a kitchen is also a violation.
