Came to celebrate a birthday. Music selection was bomb! And that is it that is all I enjoyed about it. The hell came when it was time to pay for a party of 8. Waitress was not good at keeping up with everyone’s order and it took an HOUR to sort things out and pay. If I had left I would have been wrong. The female manager knew we had issues at the table and never came to address them. Very poor customer service. Finally got the receipt and many random FEES including a $25 cake charge which is absurd. Fees took away from any tip I would have left, not that it was deserving. Just to hold the cake, not even in the refrigerator. The made up charge was not told to us when they took the cake. Food was flavorful but salty as hell. Portions were small considering the price. Drinks were not up to par. Hookah tasted burnt and had to beg to get it changed. First and last time. I am one to support my people but not foolishness!

Very relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday evening. Perfect for a date night. Very small establishment. Food was good and service was good.
Our server was AMAZING! The wings were good, our ticket was $250.00!!! BUT the only downfall we were rushed to leave after making a reservation, right after we finished eating we were told we have to leave, we drove over 45 minutes to try this spot out and we will never come again .. our server was AMAZING but when the manager told us our time was up, I was completly caught off guard.. this will be our first and last time coming here.

First time trying Maya so I ordered a flight of cocktails which were great. When I asked for the check, it was $10 more than expected, with no explanation about an added service fee. The waitress handed me the POS to add an extra tip (15%, 18%, 20%) without mentioning the included gratuity.
As someone who's worked in the service industry, I understand the hustle and still tipped on top because the service was good. Without anything being said I understood that she wanted me to tip on top of gratuity. It was a slow night so I didn’t take it personal and figured she didn’t make much $$. AGAIN I’ve worked in the service industry… I get it. But then I saw I was charged double the total amount when I got home. The great drinks were overshadowed by the double billing. And after reading reviews sound like sketchy billing is common here. Very sad. Don’t know the lady’s name who served us but she was the one with the pretty curly hair.
UPDATE: The manager admitted to an “error” but stop responding after I asked for a resolution. Had to contact my bank to receive my money back and never received a response.

The waitress was attentive and friendly. Consistently made sure that we were taken care of. The food came out quickly. I got the shrimp and grit and the taste was on point. (albeit slightly over seasoned and a smaller portion than expected). Overall it was a good experience and I’d return.
