I’m writing to express my deep disappointment following my recent visit to this establishment. As a long-time customer who has enjoyed dining with there over the years, I was extremely let down by the service we received this time—and unfortunately, it may be our last visit.
Upon arrival, we informed the hostess that our party consisted of four people. She noted my phone number but did not ask for a name. We were told the wait would be approximately 10 minutes, which was completely reasonable. However, shortly after, a group of ten and then another couple arrived. Despite also being told it would be about a 10-minute wait, the larger group was somehow seated before us after a brief conversation with staff. That was disappointing, but we chose to be patient.
Moments later, the hostess began calling out a different name and gesturing toward where we were seated. I clarified that it wasn’t us, as she had never taken our name in the first place. She apologized and we were seated shortly after.
Once seated, our drink orders were taken—but that was the extent of the service we received. Multiple tables that arrived after us were not only seated but had their orders taken, meals served, and were finishing up as we continued to wait—without even being acknowledged by our server.
After over 45 minutes of being ignored, we flagged down a manager simply to pay for our drinks so we could leave. When we explained the situation, the response we received was a brief apology and a statement that the restaurant was “very busy.” While I understand the challenges of working in a high-traffic environment, that response felt dismissive and lacking accountability. A simple acknowledgment that things were running behind, or an occasional check-in, would have gone a long way.
To illustrate just how poor the experience was, the table behind us—who arrived after we did—had completed their meal by the time we left, without having even placed an order ourselves.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously. I’ve always enjoyed this place in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing.

One of my favorite dishes at Mi Pueblito is the ajiaco soup—usually full of flavor and comforting. But today it didn’t taste right at all. It had a strange flavor that didn’t resemble the ajiaco I’ve always enjoyed here. I mentioned it to the waiter and left the soup almost untouched, but they still charged me for it. Disappointing experience from a place I used to trust.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Colombian food, then this is the place! The service was excellent and quick, and the food came out hot and fresh. While the menu is huge, these were some favorites: Limonada de Coco, Empanadas, Arepa de Choclo con Queso, Bandeja Paisa plate, and the Arroz con Pollo plate. You won’t be disappointed!
All the time I visit this restaurant the best food but today unfortunately for my way of dressing they didn’t let me in how bad that because of the way of dressing one can’t enter a restaurant they have disappointed me because the clothes don’t pay for the food and even if I want to eat this food I will never visit them again.

NO lo recomiendo. Y es una pena porque la comida es muy buena. La última vez que fui con mi esposo y mis dos hijas nos trataron super mal. Yo había llevado comida de mi casa a el restaurante para asegurarme que mis hijas comieran. Son dos niñas pequeñas. 3 y 4 años de edad. El mesero me dijo que yo no podía darle comida a mis niñas porque tenía que consumir la comida del restaurante. Obviamente mi esposo y yo ibamos a consumir la comida del restaurante. Por algo estabamos allí. Pero el mesero y la gerente no quiso que mis hijas se comieran lo que yo les había llevado, es normal que los padres hagan eso. Y supuestamente es una política del restaurante. La cual me parece súper estúpida y ridículo. Ellos prefirieron perder un cliente que permiirme alimentar a mis hijas. Así no se trata a nadie. Y menos una madre con niños pequeños. Son súper GROSEROS y jamás he vuelto a pisar ese lugar. No tienen educación ni empatía.
