Food ranged from good to bad. Whipped ricotta is too sweet for an appetizer. Fish was terrible. The fact they served a piece of fish that smelled the way it did is insane. Server recommended a terrible wine from South Africa that didn’t pair well with Italian food.

Mimo has easily become our favorite Italian dining experience. From the moment we walked in to our reservation we were greeted with a smile, true professionals. Our server went above and beyond, offered recommendations and really took care of us. The food was impeccable you can taste the quality of the made from scratch dishes, and the portions were perfect. We sat in the patio on a beautiful Sunday evening we shared a few appetizers including Fritters, the crochette, my daughter had the gnocchi, and my wife and I shared the costasa (ribeye). Everything was delicious, thank you to the kind staff at Mimo.

I’m surprised that this restaurant isn’t filled with customers- especially during happy hour. Mimo has some solid deals for both food and drinks during 5-6 pm!When you first roll up to the area, there is plenty of parking here so that’s always a relief! I love the restaurant’s exterior with the pink gates and plants. And when you walk inside, it feels very cozy. Although I didn’t get a chance to check out the patio, it looks nice from what I saw.For Happy Hour, I ordered the Crochette, Fritters, and La Pizzetta. And I also got to try a sample of the Amuse Bouche which was super yummy!Out of the three, the Fritters were my favorite. The corn and zucchini made this dish pretty sweet but it was balanced with the parmesan cheese on top. I loved how it was perfectly fried- there’s a lot of spots that have a really dense/heavy batter but not the Fritters from Mimo! As for the La Pizzetta, the dough is delicious and made in house! The only thing I wish was different is the texture in the middle of the pizza (it was pretty wet from the sauce/cheese which made the dough soft and the toppings were falling off) but the crust/outer part of the dough was perfect and the flavors were all there. Last but not least, the Crochette! Just like the Fritters, the crochette was fried perfectly and also had the same delicious parmesan cheese on top. The salsa verde sauce underneath gave it a nice kick. In total, I spent $25 for the three dishes which is pretty good!Aside from the food, the service was amazing here. Huge S/O to Tony and Addison who made my dining experience so welcoming here. I loved conversing and getting to know them while enjoying such good food. I hope to come back soon and I can’t wait to tell more people about this hidden gem!

Good Italian spot in a remote part of town. Enjoyed my dinner and dishes here and it was worth traveling to. I got a variety of dishes, listed below with asterisks to indicate what I loved. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Cacio which was basic and a bit dry- Crudo- Gnocchi*- Cacio e Pepe- Pappardelle- Special: hazelnut and chocolate bread pudding

All I can say is just go. Go and order whatever strikes your fancy, because it is all going to be insanely delicious. This meal capped off our little "day-cation" and I could have asked for more. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, incredibly inventive pairings, a super fun wine list, and some of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Just go.

Cute restaurant in a up and coming part of town. Our server was nice. We ordered several appetizers, a few drinks and mains. The food was good, wouldn’t say amazing. Vegetarians beware- all the pastas use chicken broth- tell the server and they’ll omit it.Wasn’t impressed with the the lack of descriptions of the wines and there are no cocktails, as they don’t serve hard liquor. We came here to celebrate a birthday. Made a bday cake (with two candles) and brought it in, see pic of website, no mention of a fee to bring in your own cake. We were shocked to see that we were charged $20. We weren’t told of this and the website didn’t state this anywhere. Bad business practice. There are so many Italian restaurants around, my money is best spent elsewhere.Vegetarian options: There are items, like chicken broth in all the pastas. You have to specifically ask for them not to add it.

Great place -- perfectly executes on elevated Italian fare in a warm, inviting, non-stuffy atmosphere. Loved the insalata, sweet potato appetizer, and the formaggio. Fantastic wine list that compliments the menu. Our server was friendly, helpful and fun. All around an A+. I was a 25+ year regular at the Thai place (Kanomwan) that previously occupied this space. When it closed I was in mourning. That it has been reborn as Mimo is trippy, super cool, and a big plus for the East End.
