Miyabi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

sadly, it’s one star due to severe food poisoning. Last night I woke to awful cramps, a fever, and plenty of throwing up. Miyabi, please please take a good look at all your current stock for raw fish and ensure that it is safe for human consumption. Never before have I suffered such severe poisoning from eating sashimi grade fish… I had the sushi deluxe plate, which I’ve had from this location before without any issues. It’s just worrisome that a restaurant with such a good reputation made such a massive mistake.

Everything was very nice. We usually get takeout or delivery from Miyabi but dined in this afternoon. We enjoyed it very much.

First time in and I gotta say, amazing experience. From the excellent and attentive customer service to fresh quality food and even gave us complimentary tempura! We will definitely be back. So glad we decided to stop in. Highly recommend.

This food is amazing, I highly recommend the restaurant. I have food here all the time and highly recommend everything. The service is great and location is pretty cool. One of the best Japanese places in Houston in my opinion

A true good find for sushi. I didn’t get a chance to try their ramen but that will be next time. We tried the New York Roll, the crawfish roll, gyoza and had sake based mojitos which I didn’t know were a thing. Food was delicious and we went way over budget bc we couldn’t help ourselves. Delicious!!

Plates were large and plentiful.
Shrimp ramen was OK. The shrimp was good. The pork char shu had very little fat and was a nice crispy consistency but had no flavor. Just a dry piece of pork. The bamboo shoots were very good. Noodles were average store bought.
Miso ramen was OK. Spicy isn't quite what one would call spicy. Flavor was good though.
Shrimp fried rice was meh. Average and nothing special
Chicken teriyaki was OK. The vegetables and the teriyaki sauce were great but the chicken was super thin with no flavoring. Just a dried piece of chicken.

I am obsessed with their Curry Ramen & Seafood Fried Rice. I’ve been here (dine in or takeout) 4 times in two months. The sushi is also pretty tasty! This is my favorite for Ramen bc they have so many options and I prefer a ramen with shrimp. The servers are nice and atmosphere is pleasant, although sometimes I can smell (what I assume is) the fumes from the nail salon near the restaurant, so takeout is my preference.
