That Stirfry was so good. I’m still reminiscing about it years later and I’m living all the way in Alabama now.

Amazing place! I love coming here with my family and loved ones. The food is always delicious. I tried the Aguachile Roll and it was so good, and the appetizers were great too—I got the dumplings, but honestly all their food options look delicious. The service is really great as well, and they’re always super kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

Everything was average...
There was nothing bad about the place but I don't see myself wanting to revisit

Miyako has been a my solid to go place for years. The large selection of the menu, which has plenty of rice/noodle dishes for the non sushi eaters, never disappoints. Don't forget about the adult beverages. There are plenty of options but my go-to is the lychee martini. The staff are always friendly and pleasant, plus the lighting is soft without being overly sultry. I always enjoy my visits because I'm never disappointed.

I’ve been here once before for lunch; just as amazing as this second time.
I decided to venture out and get something new and wow. The Chef Special Three Way Sashimi is AMAZING!!!! SO delicious. I ate it so slow so I could savor the flavors. I love the atmosphere here, very welcoming and chill. The food is incredible. My favorite thing to order from the menu is: Truffle Honey Sashimi. Incredible.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Westheimer Gem – Miyako Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar is Perfection!
Hands down the best sushi experience I’ve had in Houston, and I’m already planning my next visit! The Westheimer Rd location of Miyako Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar is a total standout — warm, inviting, and buzzing with that perfect blend of casual elegance and authentic Japanese charm.
We kicked things off with their happy hour specials (a steal at $8–$12!), and every bite was flawless. The Mango Go Maki? Unreal — sweet mango, creamy avocado, and just-spicy-enough tuna, all wrapped in pristine nori. The S&M Roll was another winner: fresh salmon, ripe mango, and a playful kick of heat that danced on the palate. You can taste the quality — the fish is impeccably fresh, the rice perfectly seasoned, and every roll is crafted with care.
For dinner, the Shrimp Yaki Ramen was pure comfort in a bowl — rich, savory broth, springy noodles, and plump, juicy shrimp. I asked for extra sauce on the side (chef’s kiss!), and the fried rice was fluffy, fragrant, and packed with flavor. Portions are generous, presentation is beautiful, and everything arrived piping hot.
The service sealed the deal. Our server was warm, attentive, and full of great recommendations — they even customized a roll for my vegan friend without missing a beat. The staff here makes you feel like family, not just another table.
Miyako on Westheimer isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a Houston treasure. Whether you’re a sushi snob, a ramen lover, or just looking for a great night out, this place delivers on every level. 10/10 — I’ll be back next week. Thank you, Miyako, for an unforgettable meal! 🍜🍣✨

Food was very mid and did not taste good. Not even the regular chicken fried rice.
