My mom and I arrived in Houston late in the evening and were craving pho. We found Moon Rabbit since it was one of the few places open later and decided to stop in. It was a bit tricky to find in the dark, as the signage isn’t very visible from the street, and parking was a little tight with nearby businesses and apartments.
We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in and seated right away. The atmosphere was urban, lively, and playful. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for being after 9 PM, which added to the energy of the place.
We both ordered the pho tai. For me, the broth is what makes or breaks a bowl of pho and while the broth here was decent, it wasn’t especially memorable. The meat was tender, and they serve a generous portion of noodles.
Our waitress was brief in conversation, likely due to how busy it was, but service was still efficient.
Overall, it was a convenient and welcoming spot for a late-night pho fix, though I’d be curious to try more of their menu next time.

Absolutely incredible dining experience at Moon Rabbit!
We came in for dinner and were blown away by the flavor, presentation, and creativity of every dish. The Roasted Oysters were rich, savory, and topped with crispy bits that added the perfect crunch. The Bone Marrow dish was beautifully plated with toasted baguette slices, creamy aioli, and a pop of fish roe—decadent and delicious. And the highlight for me: the Pho Tao Chinh. Deep, rich broth with tender noodles, fresh herbs, and just the right kick of spice—total comfort in a bowl.
The vibe is modern yet cozy, and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. A unique take on Vietnamese fusion that truly stands out in Houston’s food scene.
Highly recommend if you’re in The Heights and want something memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

Every single server and bartender were friendly and helpful, including welcoming our baby to the place! The shrimp salad and lemongrass beef vermicelli were AMAZINF and the oysters were the biggest surprise —- wonderful! The atmosphere was adorable and not pretentious. Would come back to Houston for this place!

We stopped in for a bite after going to Thorn and Moon and let me tell you this place was nicer than I thought. I got the lemon chicken vermicelli and my god I think it the best one I've ever had, my daughter got the steak and rice bowl which she really enjoyed as well and my best friend got the Pho combo with brisket and flank she loved it. We started off with the tostada appetizer and original spring rolls and wow so much flavor! The young man who attended us was also super attentive and super kind. He really knew his stuff about the food giving us great recommendations and explaining the ingredients and flavor profile as well as telling us about their specials on certain nights. All the staff was super nice. I got a non alcoholic drink I believe it wad the Yuzu cute or something like thay and the elixir of immortality. Both pretty delicious. Definitely coming back! Everything was fairly priced for the quality. I recommend if you want some elevated creative Vietnamese food.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. The food is refined and always well prepared. This place has a casual feel with a cool and vibrant vibe. We often sit at the bar as a couple and enjoy the friendly bar staff. The place fills up on the weekends and many days during the week. Many great dishes are available, from traditional banh mi, pho, and vermicelli to carpaccio and clay pot fish.
