I have a weakness for Vitenamese food. Tonight, I shared a delicious Pho Thai and a filet mignon bánh mì with my husband at Nam Eatery. We also had steamed dumplings. The whole food was minimal fat and very tasty. Actually the large portion of Pho was perfectly equilibrated in terms of broth/herbs/spices. We ordered and paid at the counter before choosing our table. The service was fast and the staff very courteous and very discreet. No Vietnamese music. It was a quiet ambiance and we had a pleasant conversation. The place is very clean and despite it is small, every customer can eat peacefully. The decor has a modern touch with its mid century inspiration metallic chairs. Certain walls have been covered with beautifully executed monochrome frescoes.Cảm ơn for this simple, but excellent dinner!Parking: Parking is easy at night in front of the restaurant. It is free.

Great service and good food as well. Lunch was going really well until unfortunately halfway through my lunch my bahn mi had a rubber band in it , but it gets worse, to finish it off my iced tea had a dead baby cockroach, I had to leave in disgust.

First time ever to this place. You order at the counter and you pay at the counter and when you pay the the first thing that comes up is how much you want to tip. How would I know how much I want to tip when all I’ve done is order my food at the counter. I don’t like to tip before I get my food I like to see how the services and how the food is. So that was a turn off.. they also add a dollar for being a local business to stay open to contribute to the cost of the to go containers and napkins and stuff like that. I guess that also was a turn off. I didn’t notice that until I read the paper menu when I sat down, I think they should include prices for containers and cups and such in the price of the item you’re buying.I had the barbecue pork sandwich it was good. I also ordered pork fried rice with the pineapple which $16 or $17 seemed kind of pricey for an order of fried rice. I had to ask them to include some soy sauce and some hoisin sauce for the rice for when I got home since I only want the fried rice to take home and I ate the sandwich there. The fried rice was OK. It had red and bell green peppers in it. I’ve never had pork fried rice that had bell peppers in it. It made it have a different taste than I was used to, but not in a good way. I probably will never go back because I don’t go to Houston that often but if I do, I’ll get it without the bell peppers and I want to pay $17 for fried rice and nine dollars for sandwich.I don’t see the point of chipping before you get your food because the person who took the order at the register didn’t even bring the sandwich or the rice out . I drank water and you have to get up and get it yourself, so what exactly are you tipping for before you actually get your food and be served. a waitress for many years tip means to ensure prompt service or to ensure proper service. How would you know what kind of service you get if you have to tip when you pay before you get your food.Basically, I spent $25 for one sandwich and an order of pineapple pork fried rice. They should cut the pineapple up smaller it was too big for the rice.Parking: There are only a few parking places in front of the place. I’m not sure if there was even handicap parking and it was difficult to back out onto the busy road when leaving.

Yummy Banh Mi and hot Jasmine tea on for a chilly lunch day. Not busy, so a quicker kitchen than expected. I'll go back.

I used to frequently vist here, however the last visit deamed me to NEVER to return . The day with the tounge ring was preparing my bahi mi WITHOUT gloves . I politely asked her to put on gloves and she literally started calling me out of my name she came around the counter as if she was going to hit me. Its a shame because they have really great food.

After a few days of traveling, I was excited to come home and eat some asian comfort food. I live in the area and have seen this spot a few times. I didn't feel like going to Chinatown so we decided to stop by. We had the dry chicken pho and the beef pho. The portions were smaller than what I expected for the price. The pho did not have much meat and the broth tasted artificial. The dry chicken pho was the better dish of the two but still not anything very impressive. There were probably only 4-5 pieces of chicken in it. The one thing I did really like was the ginger dipping sauce it came with. Overall, I probably won't be back as there are some other more authentic and affordable asian spots popping up in this area.

Overal I payed extra for changing the noodles on a meet less pho. My sons chicken was as tough as a tire. I’ve been coming here since the 1st day they opened! Mr. Sr. Behind the counter is over it. He shows it and he treats you like it!!! Burnt out! He used to smile and be in a great mood all the time. Never was he this grumpy! Oh well … Thank you for the good lunches I had here once upon a time! Good vibes. For you guys. I just sadly won’t be coming back !!!

Too expensive for what it is. Ordered a pho rare beef with meatballs--$13. Pho came out with 95% noodles and barely any meat. Asked if I can have more veggies--said I would have to pay extra like why did you only give me 5 pieces of basil Business model no longer works. Serving basic food for high dollars. I rather go to pho Ben instead. Extra star since it was edible.
