After 6 months living in Houston, for me this Is the best restaurant up to now that I have tried in Houston. High quality of ingredients and great receipts. Wonderful service and location inside romantic with low lights. They have a menu that Is gourmet, leveraging on more simplicity and combination of fee ingredients.

Cocktails were good. Service was ok. Food was mediocre at best. We tried 8 dishes and 2 were good. The asparagus was actually the best I've ever had and the cookie was good. Outside of that, meh.

What a spot! The food was all excellent. Well prepared and presented. The menu is seasonal and since it changes we asked the server to choose some appetizers. We had the dumplings, oysters, stuff pasta, and the Nancy cakes. For my main course I had the Sole and it was out of this world. Our server Heather was super knowledgeable about the menu and was on point with everything. She was a class act. If I’m ever back in Houston I’m certainly returning here.

This was our first visit and overall it went well. We liked all of our food selections and the mixed drinks were done well even though I feel the drink prices were too high. We sat on the patio because inside tables weren't available earlier than 9P. Our server was nice and prompt although she seemed to get quieter as the evening went by which made me think perhaps she was put off by something we said. Hopefully not. I will add that we ordered the special - cockles - but they were never served to us. We decided we had enough food for the 4 of us so didn't bring it up. Even though we liked the food I doubt I will be back, or back very many times - partly because it is quite far from home (we live in a Houston suburb) but also because the fare selection style is family style and sharing which is not my favorite. It makes me worry all night long that everyone is getting their fair share. I also don't leave feeling like I had a meal but more like I've been picking from a buffet.

Despite the anticipation of delightful culinary journey, the dishes served were very disappointing. We ordered the Grilled Chicken, Lamb Tartar, & Octopus and the overall quality of the food did not meet the standard I was expecting from such an establishment. Although the seating area, atmosphere, and service were decent but the food was honestly bad with bland flavor. Also, we got the Nancy Cakes as an appetizer but there was nothing special about them at all and tasted just like any biscuit/pancake.Hopefully, improvements in the culinary offerings can elevate this spot to match the excellence of its ambiance in the future.

Announcing our reservation, we were seated immediately at a table for two inside toward the back. The friendly host happily accommodated our request to move inside from our initial patio resy. A largish candle on the table and the mismatched fixtures casting dim warm light from above created a cozy and intimate ambiance. Server, Ethan, knew the menu well, offering in-depth suggestions on complementary dishes and flavor profiles that we greatly appreciated as the dishes came out. This is a rather pricey restaurant despite what the casual interior and servers' attire might suggest (they all had choose-your-own t-shirts of varying colors and graphics). In the end, all these elements came together, with the dishes, blessing us with a memorable, enchanting evening. We ordered:Cockles: first time eating these small delicate clam-like delights. Served warm in a bowl of savory liquid with bits of shallot and fennel (I could be wrong on that, but it was very very good nonetheless! ).Lamb tartar - raw lamb was also a first. This was our favorite. The sesame flat bread was fresh out of the oven. The tartar and that bread belong together! Nice spice level and flavors didn't hide the lamb, allowing us to experience its subtle texture and taste.Pork & butter dumplings: chilled and delicious. 5 of them in a lovely yogurt-dill sauce with sauerkraut. Nice comforting dishOctopus with fingerling potatoes: good but our least favorite. Probably didn't justify the price either. Only non-recommendation and cost Nancy a star on the food.Whole dover sole: head and skin removed and baked with thin crispy slivers of garlic on top. We were already getting full before this generous fish arrived, but thoroughly enjoyed half of it. We togoed the other half along with half of the octopus. Flavors and texture of the fish were excellent. You won't enjoy seafood like this going to Aquarium. This is by far my longest review. The place deserved/earned my attention after the fact.

We finally managed to get a reservation and it did not disappoint. Food was very good and the drinks even better. Also..everyone that worked there was friendly, which is unfortunately becoming rare these days. Thanks for a great dinner!

The food was truly a wonderfully unique experience. As I’ve had the opportunity to eat a lot of different types and flavors of food over the years it becomes harder and harder to be wowed. And Nancy’s Hustle wowed me. The atmosphere was great unique music playing on an old real to real. The service was good but not exceptional…could have been that we ate there late.

Is this a good restaurant? Absolutely. Is it that outstanding to be nominated almost every year for some culinarily award? I wouldn’t say so.Inside of the restaurant has a nice interior design. The patio, however, makes you feel like you sit on a parking lot (which is literally the case). No views, no cozy atmosphere. The food was good. But again - nothing outstanding. We had Nancy’s cakes - which I would fully recommend. Fries - mediocre. And the chicken - very tender and well cooked, but a bit “boring” overall as a dish. In general, the food did not have a lot of flavor.Service is friendly and attentive. No complaints hereThe location is also not very desirable. The neighborhood can be a bit sketchy late nights
