Although the shop itself has a wonderful atmosphere, and it could be a truly hidden gem in Houston’s overrun coffee shop world, it is the staff that takes away from its magic. I went for a quick coffee and wanted to get a couple hours of work done. Unfortunately, the WiFi is non-existent, which makes it extremely tough to utilize the shop for productive purposes. I noticed they had a secondary network, and asked kindly if I could join it since the other network is extremely slow and cannot support the softwares I use daily for my work. Although I understand not wanting to give out a secondary network for the purpose of equality to all customers (I.e if we were to allow you, we would have to allow everyone), it can be communicated in a professional manner. Instead, I was brushed off and told “nope” without any hesitation. It was a cold interaction.
As a frequent coffee shop connoisseur, a minute piece of advice would be to ensure we have robust WiFi connection since lots of people utilize coffee shops for work purposes.

This coffeehouse has all the ingredients to make it a great spot. However, the staff and food ruined it for me. They took our order, we paid and then it all fell apart. The entire staff (3 people) decided a video on their phone was more important than preparing their customers orders. An order that should have taken less than 10 minutes took over 20. The sandwiches remind me of what I'd get in a school cafeteria - not worth $12.
Also, some of the other reviews are saying negative reviews are coming from competitors. I am not a competitor but I will absolutely choose their competitors whenever I want a good espresso with good service. There are many other spots you can get coffee in Houston - choose one of them.

The lemonspresso was surprisingly good, but everything else was meh. Latte was not great, sandwiches were a huge disappointment. And they took twice as long to make as they should’ve because all three girls behind the counter spent a good 10 minutes standing over a phone watching videos after they took our order.

I really wish the service here was better because I do like the food and coffee here. The girl with brown short hair is rude for no reason. My friend asked if we can switch our order to to-go because her immediate rude attitude made us want to leave and she rolled her eyes and said “next time let us know first.” I never have this experience at other coffee shops and based on other reviews it looks like other people have had similar experience/service.
