We walked to Cafe Josephine’s for breakfast and arrived at 8:25am. Both doors were locked and no cars in the lot. Do you open at 8am on Saturdays or what?
This is a local neighborhood coffee shop but they are not neighborly at all. Walked in at 9am to order my coffee and the two women behind the counter literally just stared at me. No good morning. No please wait. Nothing. Three minutes later I enquire as to why I'm just waiting and they tell me: oh , she went to her car. Referring to the front desk attendant. Is this for real? Horrible service. I hope the owner reads this and understands there is too much competition in Houston not to have friendly staff.

It is a nice little coffee shop with nice staff, coffee and sweets are highly recommended, but unfortunately there is still room for improvement when it comes to the warm dishes.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is possible to get into the restaurant with a wheelchair

Cute spot, sandwiches were really good. I'd order something other than an americano next time, though.

My wife and I ate there on Jan. 15, 2025. I ordered eggs and a croissant, and they were out of eggs. The French toast was good, and the coffee was great. Seemed a little pricey ($40.75 for two orders of french toast, one coffee and a tip) but the food was good. My wife points out there is an egg shortage, and talked me into 4 stars (where I had thought 3).

The food at this establishment is really good, but slightly over priced in my opinion. The menu is mostly a la carte. I'm giving an overall 3 1/2 stars because the service seemed to me to be a little underwhelming , and too long of a wait time. I would probably discourage anyone from going with a large number of people.

Cute restaurant, you order at the register and they deliver it to your table. Ordered the lobster and shrimp baguette 4/10 salty. Potato & zucchini soup 6/10 creamy but would have liked some little chunks of veggies and crackers. The blueberry hibiscus tea was delicious. Truffle fries 8/10. The salmon Benedict was solid 9/10 the original chicken baguette 8/10. Hot lattes were tasty. Overall 7/10

I was here about a year ago an enjoyed it. This morning I went back and it wasn't great. The food tasted old and it seemed like they just threw all the food on the plate without caring. Also, the coffee tasted really bad. I imagine it was burt, but it must have REALLY been burnt because I don't remember the last time I minded coffee that tasted a little off. Overall not a great experience and will not be back.

This is my second time coming here and the service was not good . Cute cafe & the baguettes are good however, each time I visited it took forever for my food to come out. My other friends meals were missing extra items they paid for . Again this happened on two separate visits. I enjoyed my breakfast that’s why i decided to give them another chance & THE EXACT SAME THING happened. I’m not sure if it’s due to me & my friends being the only people of color but regardless the service has to get better.

1000 percent not the best experience I really walked out the whole thing still kinda shocks me I walk in one 2 things not alot I was trying it for the first time but it would have been a almost daily or weekly thing I love to work in this places. Well I was good with price 8 something cool I had the guy working 10 he says thank you and stares at me 👀. Then he said you can tap and pay ! Me?????? I just gave you two 5s he continued to stare so then he tells me "we don't take cash 'I said ok well I have to go to the bank then I was annoyed keep in mind he never put the 10 I have in a register held it under his hand at the register. He say sorry for the inconvenience and continue to stare at me sir I need the cash I gave u he looked at me confused wtf you think if I didn't pay or was getting anything wtf did you think I was tipping him 10 dollars for them not doing anything literally what !?! Well never going here is also a horrible business plan if you don't take cash half the Hispanics here don't even have debit cards lol but then again that's not the vibe I got from the place no I wouldn't recommend it based on experience

First time here and it was such a cute place. I think the food portion size was good enough to enjoy brunch and not feel over stuffed. I got the breakfast croissant it was pretty good. I definitely recommend the vanilla matcha it was so good! The guy working at the register was very sweet. So a 10/10 for the customer service and the place had enough chair and tables and they provided free WiFi and free water.

I don't know how they do it, but the smoked salmon Benedict is absolutely perfect every time! The smoked salmon doesn't have a fishy taste at all, wish I knew where they sourced it. The staff are all calm and friendly, and the decor is beautiful, yet casual. I always feel relaxed and happy here. Unusual in a busy city!
