Cute cafe, food was very fresh and perfectly prepared. I look forward to going back to try more menu items. You won't be disappointed here.

*Only tried the food, did not try the coffee (yet)

This place charges too much for what is essentially very little food. $13 for one single plain avocado toast and a few leaves? not even two toasts? please, this is houston not uptown LA.
It also has the condiments in tiny packets instead of proper dispensers. This gave us hotdog truck vibes

I had Smoked Salmon with Eggs Benedict for Sunday Brunch based on a quick Google search. The food, counter service, price point, and simple ambiance were all very good. It's nice to visit a restaurant with good food without all of the extensive charges for everything like valet parking, automatic gratuity, and other ridiculous costs.

Visited this establishment with my wife and son 7-22-25, as we have many times in the past
We often visit regularly as we are longstanding residents of this community
Today we experienced first hand, very poor customer service
My wife and son ordered breakfast croissants and I ordered the French toast
There wasn’t any mascarpone dressing on my toast as it advertised and is usually an added delight to this particular dish, has been every time we visited
I asked the server politely , if she could get the chef to pour some on my French toast, because none was added to my French toast, part of the reason I particularly wanted this today
The chef put some in a stainless small cup and slammed it on the counter
It was still frozen
I asked if they could melt it so I could put it on my toast
The cashier replied, we can’t do that
We’d have to make you some new toast
Seeing that I had already paid in advance, I asked for my money back at which point she said she’d apply it back to my card
Not sure why this lack of care for your customers experience was set forth with hostility today
As a small business owner, I would not allow this attitude at my place of work by any of my employees, disappointed ☹️

I was underwhelmed with the food. My sweet potato fries were overdone/ blackened. And, my choice of Crab and Shrimp baguette was a disappointment. I could barely detect any crab, it looked nothing like the picture which had a lot more green; it was mostly the cheese sauce with a few shrimp. My husband choose the avocado toast which was better. But, I don’t need to go back.

This is a fantastic little lunch bistro with amazing baguette sandwiches and salads. The Poulet Classique keeps me coming back regularly. It’s BYOB and counter service, but that’s usually not a problem at lunch time. They also have good coffee and pastries. The little marble tables in an old brick building give it some real charm.

I really enjoyed the food here however, their beverages could be a little bit better. The guava iced tea seemed really watered down

We walked to Cafe Josephine’s for breakfast and arrived at 8:25am. Both doors were locked and no cars in the lot. Do you open at 8am on Saturdays or what?

This is a local neighborhood coffee shop but they are not neighborly at all. Walked in at 9am to order my coffee and the two women behind the counter literally just stared at me. No good morning. No please wait. Nothing. Three minutes later I enquire as to why I'm just waiting and they tell me: oh , she went to her car. Referring to the front desk attendant. Is this for real? Horrible service. I hope the owner reads this and understands there is too much competition in Houston not to have friendly staff.

It is a nice little coffee shop with nice staff, coffee and sweets are highly recommended, but unfortunately there is still room for improvement when it comes to the warm dishes.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is possible to get into the restaurant with a wheelchair

Cute spot, sandwiches were really good. I'd order something other than an americano next time, though.

My wife and I ate there on Jan. 15, 2025. I ordered eggs and a croissant, and they were out of eggs. The French toast was good, and the coffee was great. Seemed a little pricey ($40.75 for two orders of french toast, one coffee and a tip) but the food was good. My wife points out there is an egg shortage, and talked me into 4 stars (where I had thought 3).
