Great place for a date night. Great shareable food with great house cocktails. I suggest the literal bucket of their white sangria that you can share (or not) that’s very worth the money.

My FAVORITE brunch place in town. Never crowded. Amazing service. And they have the best brunch drinks and biscuits.

This is a place I would not recommend coming for brunch unless you're coming just to get a drink. The menu doesn't provide good choices for food. I tried both the burger and the parmesan chicken sandwich which were mediocre at best and not worth it for the price they ask for. The service and atmosphere was nice, which brings me to my point that if you are going for a drink, this place would be nice. I won't be coming back for brunch.

Fantastic cocktails, ambiance, Italian American twist dishes. Brunch is a treat, but so standard dinner and lunch fare. Nice sleepy block in West U.

Food, drinks, ambiance all 5 stars Staff is 10. Honestly amazing; attentive, knowledgeable and great to be around. Manager is also amazing. Can't say enough good things!

Night Heron was perfect spot for brunch! It was a great find, I'm happy to have stumbled upon. The mimosas were truly bottomless Every bite of every bit of food was amazingly delicious. So much range as far as flavor. The Bloody Mary was killer with the perfect lemony zing to it. Definitely have to go back to try their other stuff on the menu, especially that chicken biscuit with a honey butter Can't wait until my next visit!

Great experience. The ambiance was amazing. I loved the outdoor seating arrangement. The food was good. Quantities were small for me, but that's a personal opinion. Nice for a romantic outing.

Good food, good simple Italian food, drinks are a little too eclectic for me, but bar makes whatever you want well.

I love how small, romantic, and unpretentious Night Heron is. I've ordered dishes I've liked more than others but nothing I've had here was bad. I LOVED their congee which unfortunately isn't don't have it on the menu anymore. I have really high standards for congee and make it at home often. I would never think to order it at a non asian restaurant but they really do execute all their dishes very well. Their strip steak and fries are amazing, as well as the burrata cheese plate. Their olives are good and and their whipped ricotta was really unique but not something I'd order again. I also love the portion sizes, they're quite substantial in my opinion (for this type of restaurant) and I eat pretty big portions. Their drinks are also delicious. The Lilly something that has hibiscus is so refreshing!

Went during happy hour and drinks were amazing! Well balanced and very refreshing. Order the Salty Dog and the Margarita, both were great but the Salty Dog beat out the Margarita because it was perfectly balance not too sweet, salty, bitter or spicy. If you go now they have the Lasagna Bolognese, ORDER IT! It has their bolognese sauce from the Pappardelle Bolognese and they are using handmade pasta best part when they finish it off in the salamander it makes the edges crispy which brings this dish to a whole new level. It was their off the menu special for $26, it is worth it.

The bartender gave a great service . Place it’s nice inside an outdoors.

Cute local neighborhood bar/ restaurant . I had the trout-delish. Foccacia bread - worth the carbs . Great place for girls night out / date night because you are not rushed at all and the slowish service allows for relaxed convo. Cons: parking . Uber here or carpool. It is tucked away in a neighborhood. Overall great little local neighborhood spot.

Review 123. YAY! I am a fan. Located in Montrose just a stones throw from the Menil Collection (free museum). Great place to stop by before or after a drink or food. Night Heron comes to you from those who brought you Revival Market, Eight Row Flint, Coltivare and more. If you're a Houstonian you know what I am talking about. All great places! I came here for brunch and had the most cheerful waitress. We sat outside. Inside is very dark and let's not even talk about how dark it is in the restroom area. I suppose indoors would be great for evening cocktails (not brunch). Extremely limited parking maybe 6-8 spots max, however there is street parking. Just look for signs as to where it is okay or not okay to park. Anyway, our waitress told us the head chef from all their establishments just happened to be in the kitchen today and they were serving up a brunch DUTCH BABY (off the menu). She said it was our lucky day and we just had to order it. So we did. Okay, they have GOT to add this to the brunch menu. If they don't they are bonkers. I wish I could remember what was in it - something like two over easy eggs, ham, fried or sautéed onions and the most delicious seasoning. As for cocktails I ordered several salty dogs as a recommendation from a yelp review. Thank you! So delicious! Lots of locals, some hipsters, very casual during the day, not sure what it is like in the evening. Dog friendly patio. I will definitely be back!
