A cockroach fell on my head and into my plate. My girlfriend and I were sitting at a table that had a shelf above it when all of a sudden it fell on my head and then into my food. The manager said “yeah it’s an old building sorry” and we moved tables. My total bill was $180 and all the manager took off the bill was two cocktails and the appetizer we had at the first table ($50 off). $50 off doesn’t compare to a cockroach landing on my head while I was eating. Can’t see myself going back there, and I’ve been going for years. Management handled the situation terribly.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience truly deserves one.

I visited Nobie’s last night with a group of five to celebrate a dear friend’s one-year sobriety anniversary — a meaningful and special occasion. Unfortunately, from the moment we sat down, the service was disorganized and unprofessional.

We began by asking about non-alcoholic options. Our server told us they had a non-alcoholic champagne and some NA cocktails, but she didn’t know the name, the price, or whether they actually had it in stock. Each question required her to leave the table and return minutes later — only to eventually tell us they did not have the champagne after all. We later learned many NA spirit options were unavailable as well.

We then asked about bringing in a non-alcoholic bottle and whether there would be a corkage fee. After another trip away from the table, she returned saying it would be $20. Given that the restaurant did not have the NA champagne they initially referenced — and many NA options were unavailable — we politely asked whether management might consider reducing the corkage fee under the circumstances.

This is when the experience went downhill.

The manager, Zeb, approached the table without introducing himself, without greeting us, and immediately said, “The corking fee is the corking fee. It’s $20. We normally don’t even let people bring anything in here anyway.” No hello. No acknowledgment that we were celebrating something meaningful. No effort to understand the situation.

He appeared disheveled and presented himself in a way that did not reflect professionalism. The guest of honor actually had to say “Hi, how are you?” to prompt a basic greeting. It was uncomfortable and unnecessarily dismissive.

Throughout the evening, there were additional issues:
• Multiple menu items (including appetizers) were unavailable.
• It took an excessive amount of time to place orders because the server repeatedly left and returned without clear answers.
• When food was dropped off, another staff member began removing menus without asking — even though we had not ordered main courses yet.

The overall tone felt rude and careless, especially considering we were there to celebrate sobriety — something that should be handled with at least a baseline level of awareness and respect.

At that point, I personally lost my appetite and left once the food arrived. I can’t fairly comment on the food itself because the service and management overshadowed the entire experience.

Management needs to take a serious look at how Zeb represents the restaurant. A corkage fee is one thing — dismissive and unprofessional behavior is another.

I would not return.

Excellent service and atmosphere but the food fell short of my expectations. All the dishes we tried were good, but very one dimensional. Plating was not very interesting or creative. Overall it was very conservative with nothing truly great or exciting that would really make me want to come back.

This place is absolutely delicious ! Creative cuisine with unique combinations. We also loved the cocktails.
Only reason why I would not give it 5 stars is bcs of the parking situation. If you have a reservation better to be there with enough time to find where to park your car.

Everything tasted absolutely delicious. The food was phenomenal and the cocktails were delicious. The plates were family done family style so we got a few shared plate appetizers, entrees, and sides. The dessert pies stole the show and just want to come again for pies and drinks.

Nobies was awesome! Parking was street parking but early in the night it was no problem. Some of the dishes I didn’t get the pictures until after we dove in. The fingerling potatoes were wonderful, full of so much flavor. The popcorn was a fun side as well. The nonnos pasta was a great bolognese and the salad atop of the ham was amazing!!! The pie was a fun ending to the meal. We also got a couple of cocktails, all which were very good. Our server was very attentive and informative. On our way out, probably 5+ staff members thanked us for coming out. So hospitable!!

This was a delightful dining experience. Top tier food and service but in an environment that feels much more relaxed and chill. All the things we ate were fantastic but the stars were the dilly bread and smoked trout roe, and the duck confit pasta, and this seasonal pear cocktail I was also very impressed by their whisky list and its pricing. Some top tier bottles at very approachable prices

Nothing was spectacular but everything was good. The best thing was the olive oil cake and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch pie, and I’m usually not a desert guy.
