Norigami delivered an exceptional dining experience. The sushi was outstanding in both quality and taste. The chefs and staff were notably attentive and personable, making the evening even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Vu, John and Matt! This unforgettable sushi restaurant comes highly recommended.

If you are a sushi lover and you haven’t tried Norigami… what’s stopping you? I started off with some handrolls which they were known for but I wanted Nigiri. I was skeptical at first but WOW. I would put them up there with any other sushi restaurant in Houston . Im am very sensitive to fish that isnt fresh but when I tell you the fish was fresh with no fishy taste… just wow. They dress them well where you do t need wasabi or soy sauce on the side. What topped it was the level of service. Thank you to John , Matt , and Vu for a great experience. They were friendly, fun, and felt like they were very aware of the timing of when they were serving me. I will definitely be back and I will bring friends with me

I’ve been craving sushi for months and by chance I went to check out Norigami after work for a solo bite and drinks. I went Monday afternoon and it wasn’t very busy. The bar is actually hidden when you walk in so you have to ask the hostess. Behind this wooden panel that blends in with the wall is a small quiet bar.
This is where I met Hal the bartender. This guy is super nice and super knowledgeable. I ordered a Paper Crane off their house cocktail menu. It was delicious. The next drink Hal made me based on about 5 questions. It was a nice gin drink that was a really nice purple hue. That one was delicious. He finally made me a drink called a Periscope. Hal was 3 for 3. I ordered the Hamachi crudo, the crispy rice and the kaarage. The crudo was really nice with fresh flavors. The crispy rice had great texture from the rice and great flavor from the tuna. The fried chicken was a crispy and served with an interesting mayo dipping sauce that tastes faintly of sushi.
Overall wonderful experience from the atmosphere to the food and especially the service. Hal is like that computer from 2001 A Space Odyssey but for cocktails! Shoutout to the very excellent Hal!

HRW menu was delish. It’s mostly if not all raw- and it was soooo good. My fav hand roll was between the sake (the jicama was a nice pop of freshness) or the blue fin. I would def come back here. I wish they had a dessert menu!
Service: was great. I took off a star because the I didn’t like the cocktail I ordered from the speakeasy and the waiter was a little sarcastic when I sent it back.
Atmosphere: I wasn’t the biggest fan of the u shape high top bar around the prep area. I think it would be hard for a group of more than 2 to hear each other. I came in a group of 4 and couldn’t hear the my friend sitting 3 seats away.
Overall, could come back here for a date night with no cocktails. The food was delicioussssss

We went here for the speakeasy to have after dinner drinks. The experience was interesting. It was a small bar. I really enjoyed seeing all the origami birds hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom doors were cool also...they had infinity mirrors for doors. I let the bartenders mix recipes they were coming up with. All were good. As the night got later, service got slower. May need to up bartenders. Our last drink order took 30 minutes.

Place is very small inside w no actual tables, only bar seating that can feel very crammed. Food was delicious however everything was bite sized. We kept ordering food and could never get full. Almost wished we didn’t come so hungry. Also was disappointing seeing some items have been downsized further like the skewers. Pictured in previous reviews youd get 6 pcs total and now its only 4. We ended up finally leaving to eat somewhere else.

This was such an experience! The sushi at Norigami is absolutely top-tier—fresh, flavorful, and prepared right in front of you with so much care. I’ve had a lot of sushi in my life, and this was easily some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I even discovered a new favorite fish—flounder!
What made the night even more memorable was how much my partner loved it. He typically doesn’t like sushi and usually just finds something small on the menu to get by, setting his expectations low. But even he was raving—he’s still talking about the wagyu skewers nearly a week later. That says it all!
We also stopped by the speakeasy next door for a post-dinner drink. It had such a fun, chill vibe with great music—truly the perfect way to wind down the night.
And not to mention… the Japanese toilets?! I’ve never felt so clean in a public bathroom. Every little detail at Norigami made the night feel special. Highly recommend for an unforgettable night out!

This has to be one of the best places to get sushi in houston. It was SO good. The front strip center aspect is deceiving because once inside, I felt like I left the United States and went somewhere else entirely. The food was superb, fresh, and so flavorful, and the drinks and service were awesome. Bathrooms are SO cool! Also the hidden speakeasy was such a treat. Everyone should be flocking to this place and we will be back
