I travel for work and spend a lot of time in Houston, which I call Sooshton, for how many wonderful sushi spots there are. I’ve been wined and dined in the best of them. There has not been an experience I’ve had that rivals the experience I had tonight at Norigami. The dishes, prepared by the chef right in front of you, are top notch, above and beyond expectations. The service is equally as phenomenal. These folks made me feel like a rockstar, heard every word I said on my preferences, and made recommendations that NEVER ONCE missed. Every cent you spend, you fully taste, and experience. I’ve not been to a restaurant where I’ve felt more relaxed, at home, and confident in what I ordered. Every morsel, every sip, every moment, was thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the unbeatable staff here. I hope anyone who sees this review takes the chance to go sit in and experience what I had experienced tonight. Highest recommendations to this wonderful establishment. I can’t wait to come back!

top tier service & ambiance! the speakeasy inside is absolutely worth checking out as well. food was decent, nothing stand out too much. the seaweed wasn’t as crisp as i would’ve liked, and the sushi rice wasn’t as sticky either

I had a bad experience here celebrating my two friends getting married, it was supposed to be a special occasion, eating some high-end food, the service wasn’t great or attentive, and the quality of the fish that we ordered also wasn’t great, also the different temperatures that different parts of the dishes were served that made us feel like the food was not Prepped with a lot of thought. I don’t normally go to reviews to leave a review for restaurants that I had a bad experience at but with the bill being near $300 and emailing the restaurant to share my experience and not getting a response back I felt that I needed to just go ahead and leave a review to warn others off because clearly they don’t care

Amazing experience all around! Kevins and Jennifer were great and gave great recommendations. The quality of the fish and the preparation were all top notch. Highly recommend!! Uni toast, hamachi crudo and ménage hand roll were our favorites. The hidden bar is also a must, arrive 15 minutes early and have a drink there first.

Harrison provided outstanding service during my recent visit to Norigami. Watching him expertly craft my handrolls was a treat in itself — his skill and attention to detail were impressive. Each handroll was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. He was also incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure I was comfortable and happy with every aspect of the meal.

Excellent service and amazing food. I sat at the bar, not sure if they had other seating in another room or not. The sushi chefs were very friendly and made some fantastic suggestions. Get the flounder fin, you'll thank me.

I saw this place on tik tok and also had it recommended by a local so I had to go try it since it looked like the quality was there.
It was a damn near home run! Everything I had was absolutely amazing! Super fresh and the meat skewers was the best thing I had in a while.
We got in a little after 3:15 and there was about 4 other people sitting at the bar. I ordered a starter of spicy garlic edamame from the chef since I didn’t see anyone else. I was unaware that there was a server. She had the whole place by herself and I felt like the service was slacking just a bit. I know, I would have put in more food if she came back to check on us more frequently. But I’m sure she did her best.
The chefs there were a real treat. They felt like they really love their jobs and what they do and you can tell.
Happy hour prices really came in clutch and don’t forget to check out the bar behind the false door!

Definitely a fun experience. The food is fresh and modern. They have a small amount of seating which makes the restaurant feel much more personal and the service was very friendly. A unique restaurant with clever handroll combinations.
Such a cute little hidden speakeasy behind norigami. Very small and cozy. Bartenders were very attentive. Thank you Paul for the service!! ✨? will be back! It’s nice for nice little slow down, casual conversations. Music was also a great volume.

First visit to the brick and motar location since trying the pop up years ago. Tasty skewers, crudo, and lots of delicious hand rolls. Stopped by bar next door for a nice post dinner cocktail. Fancy Toto bidet! Service was very attentive, good vibes!
Vibey spot with luxury tastings. A bit on the pricey end, but the food and drinks are great. Fun place for date nights or friend hangouts. The caviar shots are a unique experience too!
