Everything we ordered was great! The chili oil on the table made everything even better. And the prices were very affordable.

The food is good, but be prepared for a long wait during busy weekends.
I visited on Juneteenth Saturday (June 21) and arrived at 9:50 a.m. It took 15 minutes just to place my order, and another 25 minutes before my food was served. There were only two staff working—one managing the front and prepping delivery orders, and one serving the dining area.
The restaurant seems seriously understaffed during peak hours, and the service flow could use improvement. From what I observed, they tend to fully prepare and serve all items for one group before moving on to the next. A more efficient approach would be to prepare and serve items in smaller batches, rotating between groups in the order of arrival, rather than completing one group’s entire order before even starting the next.
Overall, I’d recommend the food, but only if you’re not in a rush and are visiting during off-peak hours.

The liang pi is not very good. Wrong noodles. Sauce all wrong.
The dumplings were not bad.
Just hit up Northern Pasta in Houston’s Chinatown for the first time, and I’m giving it a solid 4/5 stars! The hand-pulled noodles were straight-up amazingly chewy, fresh, and served piping hot. The youtiao was legit the best I’ve ever had, super crispy and golden. Prices are super affordable, and the staff were really nice, making it a chill spot. I also tried the pan-fried buns, which had a great texture but were kinda meh on flavor, missing that extra punch. On the cons, the wait was pretty long, and it felt a bit chaotic since it’s so busy. The place is small with not many tables, so seating’s tight. Also, the sweet soy milk was a little watered down. Still, those noodles and youtiao are worth the trip, and I’ll definitely swing by again!

We ordered Rou Jia Mo and right way I know it is right. We loved it. The flavor of pig ears appetizer was good but the texture was a little bit hard to chew. The lamb soup was good too. Satisfied with the simple meal.

Been trying to try this place for a while now and finally did. Good food. Good service and good price. I had liang pi, overall good flavor but the noodle was a bit soft. Also ordered a pork bun. Delicious! Will try their dumplings next time!
Youpomian, soy milk and chives pockets are all on point 😍
Here for breakfast and all are house made. Fresh, healthy and tasty.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND their oil splashed noodle. It’s one of the best things I’ve had during my trip to Houston. This is such a small hole in the wall. You order at the counter and they bring you your food to your table. There is a counter for you to get water and utensils.
Wonderful noodles and dumplings! This is what I have been looking for. No doubt the Dragon Warrior eats here.

Pretty good north-east China style food, with dumpling, buns and noodles. Friendly service from owners and it's like home-cooking experience. Lamb soup is good!

I bought a portion of Liangpi and went home. While eating, I found two hairs. Because I really wanted to eat it, I took the hairs away and threw them away and planned to continue eating. However, I found a third one. I was so disgusted that I couldn’t eat anymore🤮. This is the first time I can find three hairs in succession in something I eat😭
Amazing little store. They make everything from scratch. Best noodle shop I have been.
