I previously gave this place 5 stars because the sandwiches are so good. Unfortunately, this is the 4th time we have got here and the place is closed! It’s 4:30pm on a Tuesday- it says they’re open online. Even the sign in the window says they’re open. Of course, they aren’t!Parking: Each business only has a couple of spots up front.

I usually visit the location by my moms but was glad to find this spot closer to home. The Philly cheesesteak is always amazing, especially with extra soft fresh bread plus made to order. I get a regular craving & nothing hits the spot like Papa Genos.

We have eaten at papa genos before and from the ordering to the food to the smell of the place with either broken or struggling A/C this whole place was bad. The food looked like it was microwaved the fires were greasy, cold and tasted like cardboard. The sandwich was so dry even with the smothered gravy it was like chewing on saw dust. My husband wanted unsweetened tea to which he was told nothing works but the coke so of you want something else go next door they have water, tea and drinks. It was sad because the original location was is great and we love going there so I was just so disappointed by the experience of a new building and location being so run down and everything not working as far as the fountain drinks.

Tried to pick up my order at NOON on Tuesday 6/20. The doors were locked, and all the chairs were stacked on the tables.I wasted a large part of my lunch break driving there and backGrubhub didn't show they were closed and I had to talk to customer service to get a refund.Do you think all of us you've done this to will come back ever again? Don't be lazy, sign into your restaurant's online accounts and update your status as CLOSED

I love a good hole in the wall in a strip mall with parking. The service or ambiance is nothing to brag about, but when is it ever at this kind of place? I ordered the wicked philly with chicken. My boyfriend ordered the smothered philly and we shared onion rings. It's pretty expensive and they don't offer meals. But again, to be expected on 2023. : /Both sammies were delish. The smothered philly is like Sunday dinner on a roll. The onion rings were also tasty.

Best Philly cheesesteak in town. Get the wicked Philly with extra meat and extra cheese. I wish they weren't closed on Sundays.

Order on Grubhub at 8:45 PM Saturday May 13th. Google hours say open until 10. Went to pick it up and they say they’re closed. I see like 12 of the last 1 star reviews are all they are never open during their posted business hours. What a joke, that 12 people in like the last month have gone during posted business hours and the place is locked and closed. That’s just who posted reviews, probably like 100+ that haven’t posted.

Joke of a business. I’ve been here 3 times, one at 9:30 PM and one at 4:40 PM on weekdays. Both those times the door has been locked and no one is inside despite it saying open on a neon sign and cardboard sign in the front. Btw for the manager, this is Friday May 12th 2023 at 4:40 PM.Place is extremely run down. Looks like you’re going back to the 1970’s with the painting/aging ceramic in there. They use a 70s cash register and deliver order to back by hand. Just extremely low investment or care into the place. I’ve seen much better locations In Houston.Do not go here. Joke of a business to just be locked during mid working hours.

May 10th 2023, Says it closes at 10 pm online. I drive and show up at 9:40 pm and it’s locked and closed already. Can’t stand when businesses post their hours online, you trust that, and then show up only for some employee who wanted to ditch out early on work, close it. I spend my effort, time, and gas money. You follow your posted hours, simple as that.

In my opinion, it's an overpriced restaurant, not just by location but food in general, for a complete meal spent almost $20 for a sandwich, fries and a a small drink for one person. This location, for some reason, had a faint funky smell that kicks your nose as soon as you walk in, like a wet old mop smell. Restrooms weren't even available to the customers. The phily steak sandwich wasn't even to par with other places I've had before... doesn't stand behind its hype of being the best Philly steak cheese sandwiches

The service here is awful. They actually have no customer service skills whatsoever. I placed an order for delivery on Uber eats and specified no onions. I received my order and it was loaded with onions. When I called I was greeted with "hello" not "Papa Genos" or anything to identify the store. I asked if I could come pick up the correct sandwich and I was told I guess if you can hurry because we are about to close. On my way to the store the same girl calls from a cell phone, her name is Katia because that's the caller ID that popped up. She said your order doesn't say no onions. I said I can show you that it does. She said whatever we will remake it this time I guess. So I get there and show her and she just shrugs her shoulders and said okay well it doesn't show that on my end. No, I apologize. Sorry you had to waste time and money because we didn't do what we were supposed to do. I absolutely will never order from this location ever again.
