Pastries old and tasted horrible. Please be honest to your customers. Honesty and transparency is the key for any business. Never come back again

Most everything seemed fresh. They open the doors at 8:00 but bake a wide selection much earlier.

It's very unorganized, clutter everywhere ,just ridiculous amounts of dirty pots pans everywhere . It doesn't even look like a pastry place or restaurant inside looks like a hoarders closet. No way there's a ton of great reviews has to be fake . Pastries are not good - dry and very old. The staff was nice .

Wow! They have a delicious spinach quiche. The crust was perfectly crispy and the filling was super moist and it was not salty like other bakeries. Unfortunately, they were out of their almond croissant when we visited. We will definitely go back for trying their other pastries in our next visit in TX, Houston.

We were visiting our mother for the holidays and my brother happened to find this place on Yelp.... it sounded very interesting, and with all the 5-star reviews, we knew instantly that we had to try it out. I'll start off by saying that I love these little hidden gem Mom & Pop bakery cafes as their service is usually so genuine, friendly, down to earth, and their offerings made fresh, from scratch, and using their own unique recipes. My expectations were certainly met here as the owner's daughter attended to us... although we later learned that she only helped out her parents during the weekends...... she was so nice, friendly, and took such great care of us. Seating is limited, so from what we could see, most customers come here to take away orders. We managed to grab the only table on the small outdoor patio. It was actually very pleasant to be sitting outdoors, except that the cafe's location is right by a very busy road and tends to get quite noisy. So, everything on the menu and on display inside the cafe looked so fresh, so pretty, and oh so yummy... so as one can expect, choosing what to order was very difficult as we wanted to try everything..... but finally decided on a variety of items. To start off, we ordered a Cheese Danish and Vanilla Canele from their pastry display, and for our mains, we ordered the Spinach Quiche, Quiche Lorraine, Seafood Quiche, Chicken Crepe au Gratin, Seafood Crepe, and the Chantilly Crepe (served cold) for dessert. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I loved the graham cracker style Quiche crusts, which had a very nice and light crunch to it, and didn't turn soggy or crumbly. The fillings were very different from other quiches I've had in the past, which were much more of a firm omelet like consistency. The quiches here are smoother, more like that of soft Japanese tofu consistency, which tasted much more refined.... and really delicious. I would say that the Spinach Quiche was my favorite p of all.... the taste was flavorful without b being salty, and the crust worked so well with the yummy filling. Although good, my last favorite was the Quiche Lorraine.... my only complaint was that the ham in our was a bit too salty for me, and I thought it overpowered with the more delicate flavors of the rest of the Quiche. Of course, I believe it's normally made this wayand this is just a personal preference. As for the crepes, I really liked the slightly thicker than normal Crepe as it held the fillings quite nicely and tasted really good, too. They were perfectly prepared, the ingredients and flavors all worked really well together, and the portion size was quite generous. Note...I'm glad the portion size wasn't any bigger as the creamy bechamel sauce filling is quite rich and heavy. Lastly, the Cheese Danish and Vanilla Canele were so good! They both tasted so fresh, not too sweet, and yet so so yummy. The Danish had a perfect crunch to its outside and nice and moist fluffy layers inside.... the cheese has just the right amount of sweetness, flavor, and consistency too. The Vanilla Canele was wonderfully delicious too.... the only thing is that these need to be eaten warm and fresh in order to fully enjoy them. My mother enjoyed the pastries and other goodies here so much that she went ahead and took away dozens of pastries and cakes to share with her neighbors! And, she loved this bakery café so much that the first place she wanted to go for breakfast the day after Christmas was to this place, again. We were told last week that they'd be open the day after Christmas, but when we arrived, we sadly discovered that they had decided to close even though yelp indicated that they were open. Anyway, I'm sure she'll be back on her own after we leave town tomorrow.

We loved this small, friendly Mom & Pop bakery & Cafe. My mother was craving a good Spinach Quiche, and after searching all over West Houston using Yelp, this place down the road from us popped up. It was like striking Gold. We had a lovely brunch... * Spinach Quiche -- Served perfectly warmed, light thin crust, most and light quiche filling. Tasty without being too salty. Generous portion (looked like a quarter per). This was our favorite quiche. * Quiche Lorraine -- This version has bacon, ham & mushroom. Good, authentic rendition of this classic French dish. Good option if you want something a little saltier. * Seafood Quiche -- Also good. Comes with bay scallops, shrimp, mushroom & asparagus. * Chicken Crepe au Gratin -- Savory crepe with chicken, mushroom and asparagus in a bechamel sauce, topped with melted Swiss cheese. Crepe was nice and thin with crisp edges. Very tasty and filling. * Cream Cheese Danish -- Very good. Nice flaky crust, but I found the center of the pastry just a little bit thick and doughy. However, my brother loved it, and my mother bought what they had left to take home. * Chantilly Crepe -- A dessert crepe with fresh berries and whipped cream. Very good. They also serve sandwiches, soup, and other breakfast egg dishes in addition to an endless variety of baked goods. They specialize in custom cake orders too. A few casual seating options indoor, and outdoor in a fenced patio area. Service is very friendly and attentive, but remember that it is a small neighborhood Mom & Pop shop and can take a while for prepared foods to come out. We also bought some pastries and fruit cake to go. You can't resist when you see the display case after display case of cakes, pastries, macarons, cookies, and more. They were out of Almond Pastries when we visited on a Saturday at 1 pm. We will have to come back to try that and get our fill of quiche again.
