I've been a faithful customer over 20 yrs. Banh Bao lost quality - bun tastes rubbery, chewy, looks shinny like plastic (not fluffy like in the past); fillings have more cartilage chunks than usual, chewy. Also, Sesame balls are much greasier than normal. Either the owners or bakers have changed - quality of baked goods are not as good - hopefully it's a onetime mishap. I noticed this shop via the phone also.
We've been to this store over 22+ years. Somehow, after 2 years of Covid, we didn't think of it until last night! We're Dallasites and we.believed that this store has the best price & taste for theirs: giò chả, bánh giò, almonds & chocolate croissants. The servers are fast & pleasant.
After several decades in business, this place still rocks: from the French bread ? , to paté chaud, eggrolls, etc... everything taste exceptionally good. The only downside, they don't take credit cards! The staff is always friendly and they'll up sell you every chance they get. Who can resist when everything is so good? I fall for that trick 8 out of 10 times when I go there!
