Food is terrible. I got the house special, fried rice. I also got fried squid. The fried rice tasted like they made it a month ago and put it in the freezer and microwaved it when I got there. The squid tasted like they bought it frozen from Sisco Restaurant Supply and microwaved it when I got there. It was soggy and limp. After tasted both of them, I put them down the garbage disposal. If you want good Chinese food go to JJ Garden on the NW corner of Beachnut and the West Loop. All of the above is my opinion.

As a parent of very picky kids, they love the fried rice here! They kept saying “YUMMY” with each bite. It’s certainly great. And reasonably priced and the milk tea?!?! DELICIOUS the only complaint I have is the cup is not big enough!!!! Wish they offered more sizes because it’s so good! The cashier in front was so sweet and I enjoyed chatting with him while my food was being prepared. I love this little gem and can’t wait to come back. I wish I knew the cashiers name as he was awesome and deserves a shout out.

Just tried the new lunch special at Pepper Salt, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The portions were generous—definitely enough to leave you full and satisfied. The food was absolutely amazing: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. On top of that, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. It’s not easy to find a place that checks all the boxes, but Pepper Salt nailed it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and affordable lunch option!

First time trying this place. We ordered fried rice, dumplings, kung pao chicken and pepper beef. It all tasted great. Generous portions. Our daughter has a nut allergy and he offered to remove the nuts to accommodate her which was appreciated
