Amazing staff, and overall customer experience. I walked in here hoping for an authentic Asian cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is fast. I had the Spicy Chicken Cubes, Stir Fried Green Beans, and Lychee Lemonade. The portions are great if you’re sharing and also perfect for lunch the next day. This establishment is now one of my favorites and will be back for more!

I think this is probably the best Sichuan style restaurant in Houston. I have been to MANY of them, including Mala Sichuan and this place is just better. The dishes are flavorful and the portions are generous. Their version of Sichuan “water boiled” beef (水煮牛) is one of the best I have had in Houston. Their fish with pickled mustard (酸菜鱼) is excellent. It is spicy and sour, but just so, enough to get all your senses going but not too much to be scared of it. Their fried spicy chicken cube (辣子鸡丁) is my favorite in town.

If you pull up to the restaurant you might do what I did. I tried to size up and get any clues to what I might be getting into and what I might regret, even thought the good reviews brought me this far. We missed the lunch special that ended at 3p, and there was only one car in the parking lot around 3:30p. The outside looked a little dated and it just did not seem like I might want to test it out. My wife said, “we’re here so let’s try it, you never know”.
I tired several times to let her know we could find another place ( I had picked it out and was worried I may have made a mistake). We walked in and was pleasantly surprised. It only got better from there. The food came out perfectly hot, not under a heat lamp warm, but fresh out of the hot wok with no delay. Everything was so delicious and so fresh! We got two dishes, the steamed mixed Vegetables, and General Tso and an order of Spring roles ( all hot from the kitchen). White rice was served with each. I’m not a broccoli fan, and normal didn’t get a dish with any. I believe this was the first time I enjoyed even the broccoli. The sauce was so good it made me want to keep eating the broccoli. (I was against broccoli just as much as George W Bush, Sr was.) We normal enjoy P.F. Chang’s but I believe this might have given us a new favorite Asian restaurant. The General Tao was really good and had just enough spice for us. We decide to take some home instead of over eating and two days later it was still very very good. If you are looking for a fresh ( not Sysco processed and frozen) you should ignore the outside of the building and go inside and at least try it once. We plan to go back because the waiter had mentioned we would enjoy the fried shrimp dish. So we will try that next time, and we are looking forward to the next meal. Note, I normally take the bad reviews more seriously, but this was a place where the good reviews may have understated how delicious it can be. Seriously, have someone at your table try the Steamed Mixed Vegetables so others can try it also.
Enjoy!
2nd note: The menu does not have a description of what the dish ingredients are, so we had to ask the waiter since we could not tell by just the name.
