Amazing staff, and overall customer experience. I walked in here hoping for an authentic Asian cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is fast. I had the Spicy Chicken Cubes, Stir Fried Green Beans, and Lychee Lemonade. The portions are great if you’re sharing and also perfect for lunch the next day. This establishment is now one of my favorites and will be back for more!
I think this is probably the best Sichuan style restaurant in Houston. I have been to MANY of them, including Mala Sichuan and this place is just better. The dishes are flavorful and the portions are generous. Their version of Sichuan “water boiled” beef (水煮牛) is one of the best I have had in Houston. Their fish with pickled mustard (酸菜鱼) is excellent. It is spicy and sour, but just so, enough to get all your senses going but not too much to be scared of...
If you pull up to the restaurant you might do what I did. I tried to size up and get any clues to what I might be getting into and what I might regret, even thought the good reviews brought me this far. We missed the lunch special that ended at 3p, and there was only one car in the parking lot around 3:30p. The outside looked a little dated and it just did not seem like I might want to test it out. My wife said, “we’re here so let’s try it, you never know”.
