Empanadas and fish ceviche are simply wonderful. Service is fast and so hospitable. A real gem in the neighborhood.

Pescado a lo Macho was absolutely delicious—it’s definitely in the top five sauces I’ve ever had with rice! 😍

Its a dinner style location. Not too big or fancy but nice. Had the aji de gallina empanadas and they were good. However, the lomo saltado was not good at all! Soggy fries and meat was rough and vinegary.

Is not Peruvian food, the order look like left over, cooks are mexican. The local not clean and prices high for the
Kind of meal. Don't waste your money for that. Restroom very nasty. The first and the last time to be there .
I have been coming to Peru Cafe Express for over 10 years and the food has always stayed consistent. It is truly one of my favorite restaurants in all of Houston. The owners and staff are always friendly and the food is amazing. (I still wish they served seco de pollo, but every other dish makes up for it.)
The empanadas de carne are incredible and my go to plates are the pollo or lomo saltado. Both are always packed with flavor and never disappoint. And of course, you have to get an Inca Kola or Kola Inglesa with your meal. It completes the experience.
If you have not been yet, do yourself a favor and come try it. You will enjoy it just like I do and you will probably keep coming back too.

The quality of the food is not the best....The consistency is just not there and the customer service could improve. Just to substitute cheap rubbery meat for chicken is an up charge. When realistically chicken is cheaper than red meat. You certainly can find better Peruvian food elsewhere.

Just good , there’s other Peruvian places with same prices with better quality in food
Ordered chicha, papa rellena, fish ceviche , lomo saltado and steak with noddles and to be honest I did not enjoy taste in any plate.
Service it’s excellent and all waitress are always taking care but they need to improve taste.
I always read reviews before going to places so I try this restaurant for their 4 starts but It didn’t feel like that try lemon tree has better taste with same prices.
Thanks for the service.

A great, hidden little south American gem right by the freeway. Good portions were great, service was fast, and the atmosphere was inviting and quite communal. Grabbed some empanadas, inca kola, and some authentic Peruvian steak. Price was good and big portions. Recommend visiting!

Really really good peruvian food. Try lomo saltado - sliced steak with tomatoes and onions on top of rice or French fries. Papa rellenas, a savory meat, with raisins covered in mashed potatoes and deep fried...yummy!
I can’t get enough of this place. I don’t know why there’s any bad reviews at all. I always have a good time when I come here and I always want to come back. Good food and good service. Highly recommend the lomo
Loved the authentic, fresh and delicious Peruvian food. Ceviche, flan and alfajores were absolutely amazing. So glad to have this amazing restaurant close to home!
