Never in my life have I experience such prejudice approach by anybody. I just got out from work and was very hungry, Becuase I’m brown and Hispanic they looked at me very suspicious till the point I couldn’t even finish my pho 🍜. I work as a blue collar person but working on my degree in science, people shouldn’t be treated just by the way they look.

This place has became one of our family go to's. We used to get our Bánh mìs in China Town, but our spot got closed down. We found this spot and have been eating here for years. Their Bánh mì, Pho, and Spring Rolls are delicious!!! There is only one little con for me: I wish their bread was toasted and crispy, but they are really really good regardless.

This was our first time here, the waiters were okay not the best. The price of the combo we ordered was a perfect meal for one person. Overall i wouldn't really recommend to someone because of service.

Food was mid, honestly i’ve had better pho, but service was horrible. We were sitting on a table had already order. And they moved us because some regulars were coming but were literally sitting on the exact same size table just across from each other. Then the lady was rude, no smile nothing. The guy constantly pressuring to order things without giving us time. Finally when I asked for a to go box to put my bread in she handed me a bag. I said i asked for a box she said yeah i gave you a bag. She wanted then to grab my bread and put it on the bag herself. And she was picking up dirty plates and cleaning tables. I felt like after spending $70+ the least they can do is provide a to go box. Definitely will not be coming back, so sad bc i had high expectations from the tik tok review. Traveling over an hr for this is not worth it .

I never expected to leave Pho Vn 21 feeling unwelcome. We’ve had so many good meals here that it had become a comfort spot for us. But this last visit left me wondering if the place I loved is the same place I walked into tonight.
The moment we sat down, we were “greeted” by the waitress that they were closing soon. No big deal, we told them we understood and we’d already planned to eat quickly. But the reminders didn’t stop. By the time the same point was made for the third time, it was impossible to ignore. The food was on the table, but our appetite wasn’t there anymore.
My meal stayed untouched. That led to an awkward conversation about whether it still needed to be paid for, which only made things feel worse. They eventually let it go, but the easy, relaxed energy I used to associate with this restaurant was gone.
What stings even more is learning afterward that other diners have experienced similar treatment near closing time. It’s disheartening to see this might be part of a larger pattern. I hope they change it, because it’s sad to lose trust in a place you once recommended so often.
Unfortunately, I won’t be recommending this place anymore.

A Disappointing Change at a Place We Once Loved
For almost a year, Pho Vn 21 was one of our favorite places to eat. We came here regularly, enjoyed the food, and even recommended it to friends. The staff had always been warm and welcoming until our most recent visit.
We arrived well before closing, yet were reminded three separate times constantly, that they closed at 9:00pm. At first, we brushed it off and assured them we would be mindful. By the third time, it no longer felt like a friendly reminder, it felt like we were being rushed out repeatedly. What made it worse was seeing other families still enjoying their meals without the same pressure.
The repeated rushing ruined the experience for my partner, who decided not to eat her meal at all. When we explained this, we were initially told we still had to pay for it, even though it was untouched. Only after some back-and-forth was the charge removed.
It’s sad when a place you’ve supported for so long makes you feel unwelcome. I truly hope this review encourages the team to reflect, so no other loyal customer leaves feeling the way we did. Unfortunately, this visit was our last.
