I have been coming here since they opened. I can’t find better place around this area for My Quang. My husband had Bun Bo Hue, it taste like the one from Hue city, not like South Vietnam like other restaurants make Bun Bo Hue. And that is how I like it too. Phu Xuan’s Bo Bo Hue taste closer to bbh from my hometown taste.

So cool to see a Vietnamese restaurant that specializes in Hue cuisine on this side of town! I love Hue food so this place was on my radar for a while. I tried the Mi Quang, which is one of my favorite dishes of all time. It was one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant in Houston. Usually I prefer this dish when it’s homemade but theirs was just as good. I loved the wide, thick noodles and all the nice textures coming from the fresh vegetables, peanuts, and roasted rice paper. The addition of a hard boiled egg was a nice and welcoming surprise! The broth was super flavorful which is the most important aspect. The pork was also very tender and delicious. I tried my mom’s Bun Mam Nem and thought it was delicious and authentic as well. The mam nem sauce was very pungent and flavorful. Loved all the protein in this dish. The thap cam special was great as well. I loved the banh beo the most out of all the different tastings. The fish sauce was sweet and slightly spicy from the jalapeños which paired well with every item. Phu Xuan does Hue cuisine justice and I hope to see more people discover their delicious dishes!

It’s a huge gamble for them to stick with the authentic flavors. Some of the dishes are not for the faint of heart cause of how different they are unless you’re growing up with it. I tried cơm hến and bún mắm nêm. I gotta say they don’t shy away from the original. Will try again

Best Bun Bo Hue in Houston area until the review was posted. I tried many other restaurants but nowhere other than this place can serve my the correct, delicious, fantastic bun bo. The broth was so excellent, there was also "cha cua" which I cannot find else where. And the best was a pair of "cha hue" was so good but only $3. Vegetables was fresh and fine to serve with the noodle. The server and owner were nice and attentive.
Will come back for other dishes.

The shop is very clean, the staff speaks softly and quickly. The restroom is very clean which is a big plus. I'm from Hue, I rate the food 9/10! If there was a table for baby changing diapers in the restroom, it would be great.

The BBH is good, a little on the sweet side but definitely still worth getting. Their shaking beef with rice is delicious as-well!

I ordered banh beo Chen, banh can Nam Pho and combo beo nam loc. I’m from Hue, so maybe I have high expectations about Hue’s food. Banh Canh Nam Pho was fair, but banh beo wasn't what I expected, banh was too sticky and the fish sauce was too sweet. Otherwise, excellent customer service!
