Poppa burger is the kind of burger you need on a good night with that big fry with ketchup soaking the fries and a big jalapeño pouring the juice on the fries and burger to get that hunger craving satisfied. The prices are still very affordable and they only take cash. For many of us from the neighborhood here, this place is an extension of our homes and family. My grandfather ate here, my dad ate here and now I'm eating here. Way better than a whataburger or any other fast food burger. The taco suaves are also delicious. You can't go wrong here when hunger strikes.
Some may be warry of the neighborhood here but don't let that deter you. Just watch yourself and others. You'll be ok and the food is worth it!

Poppa Burger is a great spot for a quick, classic meal any time of day. The burgers are tasty, portions are good, and the prices are very reasonable. I like the old-school vibe and the fact that it’s open 24 hours — super convenient when you’re craving something late at night. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The only downside is that the place can feel a bit dated and busy at times, but overall it’s a solid local burger joint that I’d definitely visit again.

The meat on the burger was so damn bland and nasty I would have did better just eating the lettuce, pickles and tomato on the burger by itself. I felt like I was eating mystery meat. Not tryna just bash them but they know to put “no refunds” on the sign because of how nasty it is. The cheese fries coo though.

Food was good the first few bites but gave me a stomach ache. The cheese fries were good though. The service was unfriendly at best. The lady who took our oder acted bothered the entire time and was so unfriendly. Seating is outside with a great view of the Houston skyline. It was a very cheap place to eat at.

Food was not hot , the burger didn’t take like real ground beef but a soy burger , fries were ok , but the real thing was the customer service I bit into something hard that felt like if I was chewing faster I would have cracked one of my teeth, took the entire order back(with whatever was in my food) lady was very rude ranting the same thing over and over that she could not do anything before closing the glass on me and walking away. My order was not replaced nor was I refunded. Bad trip for a first visit, will not be returning

I ate here every night I was in Houston last July and I absolutely could not get enough of it! Open 24hrs and was one of the only places that wasn't fast food McDonald's open late. The vibe reminded me of a local favorite spot back home only bigger. Plenty of places to sit and eat. One of the oldest still standing burger joints in H-Town. Food was hot, made to order, and cheap! Plus they have such a big menu that you could eat something different everytime you go. Ill definitely be back anytime I am in Houston. I find myself craving it here back home 7 hours away.
