Worst steak I ever had - apparently they unfroze the steak in a microwave and just threw it on a grill.
Take your hard-earned dollars elsewhere.

I'm not sure I've ever been here before but hubby used to come for business lunches & dinners. We ate on the earlier side (6pm reservation) so it was pretty quiet but by the time we left there were more diners arriving steadily. The restaurant is "old school" elegant with lots of smaller rooms suited towards private dining for all sizes of groups. There's a "lounge" next door as well but there's a nice bar in the restaurant space. We started with a cocktail then ordered a nice bottle of wine. They were out of that wine but came out with another suggestion that was similar & though it was more expensive they offered us a break since they were out of the one we chose. It was great! I started with the Post Oak Salad, which was a lovely mixture of greens with pine nuts and fried goat cheese... what? plus a tasty dressing ((house made Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette) while he had the Famous Tomato Salad, which is right up his alley and he also enjoyed. For dinner, he chose the New York Strip and I had Penne Piccata - both delicious! The menu has a nice variety for all kinds of appetites. The dessert tray looked amazing but we were too full to try anything. We had a really nice dinner and will definitely be back!
I had such a remarkable experience at lunch today. Notable customer service and great food. Great work, Greg!

Dining at The Post Oak Grill is always a delightful experience. Our waiter was Igor ,who did an excellent job talking care of us . I enjoyed the Post Oak Salad and a delicious salmon entree . We had a very pleasant evening!
Benito, our server was very engaging and attentive. The food was as good as it has ever been and recommendations may not be necessary. The specials are filled with flavor: well worth the investment of time and money.

We had not visited The Post Oak Grill for some time and decided it was time to return. Unfortunately, it is a shadow of its former self. The food was mediocre and the service very sub par. The room is still lovely, or could be if only it had not been rendered gloomy thanks to lack of working lights (or maybe they were turned off?). I am puzzled as to why a server was allowed to wear a baseball cap in an elegant dining room - there must be a good reason???
Dining at Post Oak Grill is always a pleasure. They have an excellent staff and great service. The food never disappoints. I have dined there at lunchtime twice in the last week. I love the Ahi Tuna Salad and the Shrimp and Crab Salad. They are both delicious. My favorite dinner there is the Post Oak Salad and the roasted Salmon. The complimentary cookies are wonderful and a nice touch ! I highly recommend The Post Oak Grill.
Our party of three was seated, and from the beginning very well, taken care of by the weight staff, who recognized me from lunch reservations I have made in the past. The service was prompt, courteous, and impeccable. The food was tremendous! Well prepared, at the proper temperature, with wonderful taste. It was obvious the ingredients were fresh. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

Post Oak Grill, in the tunnels. Great ambiance, looks upscale, prices are upscale for lunch.... Food is not good. I got chicken fried chicken.... Treebeards does it better for less. Here it's pre-breaded the deep fried flat chicken "breast" with a white gravy stain that was dried up by the time I got it, flavorless spoon full of mashed potatoes, a few pieces of broccoli, a single thick shaving of a carrot, and a couple of green beans... thoughtfully placed on a white plate. They have complimentary biscuits... which are canned biscuits with some chopped jalapeño and chunks of ham in them.I was maybe the 6-7th person in at lunch... my food came out visibly lamp tanned and just above warm... the plate was so hot I couldn't touch it. I've gotten coke, tea, and now Diet Coke in my refills. There is literally nothing other than the walls and tables that is redeeming about this place. I'll gave them my $30 and walked back disappointed and confused at how so many people keep walking in the doors.

Best Class Food and Good Atmosphere. All Over Service is Best.
The Post Oak Grill has been one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner for many years ! They have a wonderful and varied menu with something for everyone. The service is always great, too ! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We have always loved going to Post Oak Grill but were a bit disappointed in our last visit. It appeared that there was a large party going on in the lounge and not enough staff to take care of it and the regular customers. As a result, we didn't see our server very often and the food served was not up to their customary level. We still like this restaurant and will go back. It appeared that we just may have picked the wrong night to go.
Great restaurant. Service is impeccable from the receptionist to our waiter to the servers. We were greeted warmly, seated in a good location. Table was set with white linen. We had an out-of-town guest who was really impressed with the ambiance and the low noise level. Perfect place for friends or clients that allow you to enjoy fine food and a quiet place to have a conversation.
