Our experience at Potente Restaurant in downtown Houston was absolutely exceptional. We came as a group of 12, and every single person at the table had nothing but glowing compliments for their dishes. Awesome food, fantastic staff, and on overall excellent experience. Ate there by myself and had a fancy dining experience I've never had before in my life and even though I didn't look like their typical clientele, they still treated me with respect and kindness. Definitely come here to impress a date, but make sure she's worth it cause your are going to need you pocket book.

I enjoyed very much the food but not the freezing temperature. I thought that the restaurant was a bit too pertinacious. My waitress read to me line by line each item of the menu with a whispering voice....,it took her a few minutes

The charred octopus was delicious, perfectly cooked. The squid ink pasta was a perfect match. The caccio e pepe was heavenly and the scallop dish with butternut squash risotto was superb. Kudos to the chef! Service was impeccable. Glad got there early to enjoy the delicious meal because it got a little too loud when they got busy. A must experience when in Houston.

Our dining experience at Potente was superb!! Excellent service, food, and drinks!! We celebrated our anniversary and my husband's birthday, and were surprised with a fabulous dessert!! The night was nothing short of fabulous! The Chef, Danny Trace, was so friendly, his wonderful dishes were delicious, and his award-winning pasta was the BEST!! We will definitely be back!!!

Abraham was our bartender while my hunny and I were out on a date night. He was fantastic! My hunny mentioned his favorite martini was a hibiscus martini from Rudy and Paco’s. Abraham pretty much said challenge accepted and hand crafted the most delicious drink just for him! Now our new favorite! So refreshing with peach and mango! Can’t wait to go back. And cannot forget to mention the extraordinary expresso martinis! They have it down to a science!

We came for an early dinner before going to the symphony. One of the best meals we’ve had in years! We had the tuna & octopus appetizers, an apple salad and for dinner the scallops & the truffle pasta. The truffles shaved table-side was a very nice touch. Our server Napoleon was fantastic, he recommended several dishes and took pride in the service. We would stay downtown again just to dine at Potente!
