Went there Wednesday to get a soul food plate which was the oxtail dinner they was so small thinly cut got about 3 -4 oxtails majority of it was bones the gravy was almost flour consistency to light could've add some Kichten Baqeut in it to give it a nice brown color that was a 4 ounce scoop she to give the rice 1 full scoop than a half of scoop of rice the third scoop she could've left it on the steam table the cabbage was water based and green beans could been better the cornbread was a big Brick all that for 27.01 and the to go container was the size of the Dollar General Store Container sometimes you just can't support black Businesses trying to get over he supposed to be the cheapest in Town Mr Douglas Smh

I recently visited PK's BBQ based on a recommendation from a colleague. At the time, I was unsure of what to order. Upon arrival, I noticed that the menu offered a wide variety of options, which was impressive. Eventually, I decided to order the beef brisket, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, friendly, and laid-back, suggesting a great potential for an enjoyable dining experience. However, upon receiving my order and returning to my place of business, I encountered several disappointments.
First, the aluminum foil separating the condiments from the food stuck to the macaroni and cheese, which removed the top layer of cheese when I tried to remove it. This was somewhat disappointing, but not as much as the macaroni and cheese itself, which lacked flavor entirely. It seemed as though no seasoning, not even salt, was used during preparation. The macaroni and cheese was, quite frankly, inedible after the first bite.

rast, the potato salad was quite good, offering a decent reprieve from the otherwise unsatisfactory meal. Unfortunately, the brisket was tender but exceedingly dry. It was so dry that I felt as though I could start a fire by rubbing the pieces together. I resorted to adding barbecue sauce, something I generally dislike doing, as true barbecue doesn't require it. The sauce added a bit of texture and flavor, but the bark on the brisket was far from ideal. It was so overdone that it tasted like charcoal, forcing me to spit it out.
In conclusion, I will not be returning to PK's BBQ, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The claim that this establishment offers the best barbecue on that side of Normandy is, in my opinion, unfounded. This is one barbecue place I will not be visiting again.

We had the privilege of eating at R&K BBQ tonight while visiting from out of town. Wow!! What a hidden gem. The owner was amazing and very attentive to us during our meal. This was some of the best BBQ that we have ever had and the loaded baked potato was the biggest and best we ever had! Everyone should try this place!

Stopped by while traveling through after the area got hammered by some recent storms and the owner was slinging wings and fries from his truck out front. Top notch food all the way and a friendly guy to boot! Would love to come back one day when things are running normally!

I have had lots of great crawfish, and this wasn't in that category. Wasn't spiced to the core therefore served with a side of seasoning salt.
