Ramen choices are few but if they are all like the spicy tonkatsu I had tonight, with such rich flavors and hearty toppings. The egg is whole but soft gooey yolk has a sweetness to it I like! I’d try another bowl if I didn’t need to loose weight?

A friend tell me that this was the best place for a good ramen. so we decided to come out and try it we got there and park in front of the entrance door wild I waited for my friend a guy just walked to the door and turned the open sign off I look to see what time they close and it says at 8:00 we got there at 7:30 it’s definitely was not cool to see that

I went here for lunch and it was fantastic! The service was really prompt and the food was excellent. The takoyaki were one of the best I've eaten. Will come dine in again.

A great ramen place in West Houston? Dream come true. Takoyaki too - absolutely amazing. $6/6 pieces takoyaki and $11-$14 ramen bowls. I don't know if it knocks Tiger Den from my #1 spot, but it rates higher than Jinya and Tatsuya for me.

I’ve tried many different ramen shops and chains in the Greater Houston area over the years and I get only tonkotsu ramen 9/10 times when I go satisfy my Japanese ramen craving. Several years ago, my friends forced me to wait in line during the Texas summer heat at a ramen shop in Austin, and I thought it was all hype but I was wrong. Now that I know what good ramen is, I’ve been longing for any place that can make a silky, creamy, tonkotsu broth with tender chashu pork, and a perfectly cooked egg with a runny yolk. Ramen Bar Ichi checks all those boxes while other chains don’t have a creamy, milky tonkotsu broth or sometimes they overcook the “5-minute” egg. I feel so satisfied after eating a bowl here. All the tonkotsu ramen components are well-executed. The establishment is small and compact like many other ramen shops so expect to wait during busy hours. This place is also located right next to the best Japanese grocery store as well, grab some stuff there before you go home!

Saw this restaurant on Instagrams as the best ramen place in Houston and decided to give it a shot. It didn’t disappoint! We got a ramen, a chasu bowl and karrage chicken, everything was great! The chasu bowl may have been my favorite so far! The prices are also very reasonable.

Food was great. I had the spicy tonkatsu ramen. Broth was great and not too spicy. The pork chasu mini bowl was great too. We will definitely come back.

"The dining experience here was terrible. The staff were rude, taking our plates away before we were finished. They kept asking if we wanted to order more food and rushed us to leave. I will definitely not be coming back."

Ate here with my bf a couple days ago. It took them a while before they noticed us to get seated because 1. There was literally no other customers 2. Wait staff laying down on one of the benches of their booths.
Bf and I settled to eat here since we were starving and too exhausted to drive to our favorite ramen place in Westheimer.
Wait staff had our order wrong to begin with. Gave us two ramen orders despite only ordering one on top of some rice meal I ordered. Unfortunately, after dining here, bf and I both have diarrhea. Just my luck, I flew international the next day. I was miserable during the long flights (24 hrs including lay over). Even upon getting to my destination, as of typing this, I am still having diarrhea. The inconvenience, discomfort and belly getting wild after eating here makes them earn 2 stars. Only positive thing is the friendly service.
