Good food, I had the jerk sea bass, blanco Mac and greens. I’m a side car connoisseur and it was AMAZING! Hookah was fire too. Will definitely revisit, not sure why the reviews are so lackluster. I’m a mini fan.
The queso fuego appetizer was the best cheese me and my wife ever had manager Godfrey insisted of the cheese and bread then the steak and mashed potatoes was the best also! My wife had the thai curry salmon best entree she had as well we give this place a 5 star review
I really enjoyed everything at Rare. The food was delicious the music was jamming., and the service was great! Chloe was awesome! I definitely will be back.
Had a great time here. Service was professional & timely & the vibe of the venue was phenomenal. Staff was very knowledgeable on the menu & the establishment on a whole. Surprised by the reviews I’m seeing on here because they don’t match my experience today. This was my first experience at Rare & I’ll definitely be back.
I went for the first time last night with some friends. Our waitress, Deja, was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She was personable, and made our experience great. Food was delicious- hot and well seasoned. The fried okra was to die for. The salmon, pasta and sea bass were also very tasty. Drinks were great as well. After dinner, we went upstairs to the rooftop bar/lounge area. Such a great atmosphere with even better music.
Good food…good vibes. They had a live band and the food and drinks were amazing. Valet is available, and everyone was dressed to impress. They have several areas to enjoy with in the restaurant, private dining, a cigar area and a lounge with a DJ upstairs. It really is a experience. You can come for dinner, relax and enjoy your drinks before ending the night upstairs dancing. Order the Thai Curry Salmon!!
11:54 4• Search5G< BackReviewsI was really excited and looking forward to this experience. After reading many good reviews and seeing some greatphotos, it seemed like a pretty good option. NOPE. And letme say, I do NOT mind paying the costs for diningexperiences, but this just wasn't it!Parking was $10, no problem (although it was a very shortwalk and the option was unnecessary to me). I got a BBQshrimp appetizer. It was $28 I think. And it was basically 5 or6 shrimp on top of a toasted bun...good flavor, grosslyoverpriced. The shrimp was not my first choice. I asked for oysters, theydid not have it. So, that's how I ended up with the overpricedshrimp.I originally wanted the braised oxtail, they didn't have iteither. So, my waiter recommended the ribeye. It was verytasty and a good recommendation. With that said, theasparagus was extremely withered and the mashed - sweetpotatoes were much cooler than room temperature. The waiter brought me better asparagus and I feel prettyconfident that they heated the potatoes and returned themas opposed to bringing fresh ones (the option he offered). Idid not eat the potatoes. We also had Sea Bass……it was tasteless as it sat atop of avery large amount of mashed potatoes. The waiter was very attentive and the bright spot of theevening. The food was not what I was expecting, at all.The waiter apologized profusely and said things were crazybecause they were shorthanded, but there were only MAYBE4 other diners at the time we went.I seriously doubt I will be returning and yes, I was very hurtand disappointed that this evening fell very short ofexpectations, as it relates to the dining experience with Rare.
My family have an amazing experience. They loved the Rockefeller Oysters to start and the drinks were fantastic, the ladies ordered Strawberry Fields and the men had Old Fashioneds( which were perfect). Mom had the Salmon, everyone else had steaks and absolutely loved every bite. Service was great too! In all I love what they are bringing to the city and can't wait to bring my friends next time!
I was so excited to have “Date Night” @ Rare…but my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Let me start by saying I am a frequent patron of Taste Bar 3-4 x’s a month. So I assumed the same ownership as taste bar has to be great… NO. The Dinner menu only has about 5 entrees and 7 sides which is very over priced & everything else is drinks. We went on a Thursday and the restaurant was empty besides another couple we were the only guest so I should have known. Our server was amazing and we ended up having lump crab appetizer and 1 drink. We left and finished dinner at Steak 48. Please consider expanding the dinner menu. We will continue to support taste bar.
Thank you very much for accommodating our family of 20 on Mother's Day. We had a 1pm reservation. Everything was ready when we arrived - no wait.It was a great experience for all. The food and staff were exceptional. The total time from being seated - eating - and closing out the tab was 1hr and 10 minutes.Emerald, Reagan, and Trey were the best!Kudos to the Rare team!

The first time I visited this establishment I loved it. This time was very disheartening. Our reservation was made for 9:30 on a Sunday and most of the menu was available. So we decided to try different items. The food came out cold and overcooked. When we asked to replace something that was cold the cook informed the server that the kitchen was closing early. Yet they close at midnight. There was no way to remedy anything and we were still charged $300 for meals that were under par. I would love to say that I’d frequent this establishment again but I’d rather pay an establishment that can fix their issues and own up to it.On another note, our server was sweet as can be. As someone that worked in the service industry, the lack of remedy for the issues described screams lack of care from management.
This place is nothing less than amazing from service to environment. Everyone makes you feel right at home. My bartender raven such a kind soul and very patient. And ms missy so beautiful inside and out!!! I had the steak and eggs and my fiancé had the lamb chops for a lunch special and it was so delicious!!! The building is beautiful for private events !!! 5 stars across the board
There’s a lot of room for improvement. The food was ok but not great. I ordered the salmon and sweet potato as a side, however it was smeared on my plate under the salmon…the service was decent. I was charged $5 extra for my cocktail, the waiter didn’t disclose the up-charge. I also got charged for a birthday dessert. That really wasn’t a issue but just communicate these things so it’s not a surprise when I get my bill. Overall I wouldn’t dine here again it’s not worth the cost and again the food is not good.
My server was amazing! Explained to me in detail what each dish contained and what the consumer favorites were which made it easy to pick my entree. I ordered the thAi curry and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed every bit of his meals
Rare is a whole vibe! Valet parking is available but I'm not sure of there is a self-park option. We made reservations for 7pm and were walked right in to our table. There was no live music on the night we went but the stage was set up for it. There was good music playing and the waitstaff from the door to our table was AMAZING! Appetizer: Our waitress promptly took our drink order and highly suggested the fried okra with housemade garlic ranch. OMG! I have never in my life had such amazing okra. It's was seasoned and fried to perfection. I could eat that as a meal. My husband had the garlic butter shrimp on brioche bread and it was hitting as well! ! Alcohol: My drink was delicious and had the right amount of kick to get you feeling good. Main Entrée: I ordered the wagyu steak, medium rare with a side of bacon jelly brussel sprouts. WOW! My steak was cooked to perfection and I literally cut it with a butter knife. Now let's get into those Brussel sprouts. BABY! Tender, flavorful, and bacon just makes everything better! It was a Fiesta in my mouth! My husband ordered the seafood pasta and it did not disappoint! DESSERT: We were celebrating my birthday and our amazing waitress brought me a rum cake with ice cream. I was full but I made some room for a few bites and I know someones grandmother blessed that cake. OUTSIDE: There is an outside patio that offers handmade cigars and a view. Upstairs is a bar with hookah available and a view of the city. DOWNSIDE: My only complaint and the reason I did not give Rare 5 stars is the temperature in the dining area was warm. There was an obvious temperature difference Upstairs compared to downstairs. After my food and drink I was hot and somewhat uncomfortable. PRICE: The price point is high but I felt the quality of the food was worth it. If you are looking for a quality meal and a vibe I highly recommend Rare. There is a dress code but I really didn't see that being enforced. Either way, we'll definitely be back.
