I am a huge fan of local, neighborhood staples so I’m a bit torn writing this review. Real Deal is outdated, to say the very least. I literally breathe out of my mouth anytime I walk in the establishment just because of how it looks on the inside and the outside. It looks like it stinks. It is definitely NOT a welcoming environment. The best thing there is the koolaid and the banana snow cone.
The “boudin” does not taste like boudin and doesn’t have the consistency of normal boudin. The wings are bland and tasteless. The hamburgers are NOT made from pure ground beef ; taste more like frozen patties. The service is extremely slow. The prices don’t match the environment nor the mediocrity of the meals. A major makeover in its entirety is required for this to even be a competitor in any sector.
I am hopeful that they will catch up and turn this place around. In the meantime, I will continue to come here for a banana snow cone when in the area 🫶🏽

i ordered a cheeseburger w fries & wings w boudin . the wings are very tiny . the hamburger meat is processed.. nothing about this place is REAL

I used to be thoroughly pleased. As of late, they no longer accept call in orders because someone else plays a large order and did not come to pick it up. While I understand the restaurant being in business and having to do what they had to do because they lost money from that transaction, I do not agree with making everyone else pay for one person. So now if I want to order there I have to leave home extra early or I'll be late to the office and place an order in person and wait for it. I've tried to call them several times by phone and they refuse to answer the phone. My dilemma now is if I order a salad, I get to the office and find out that I don't have any dressing for the salad. I order fish and shrimp and don't have any tartar sauce unless I asked for it. When you place your restaurant in a particular area of town I'm sure that you are used to dealing with a particular type of people, and the business owners like myself we get treated the same way regardless of who we are and our standards. As far as I'm concerned that is frowned upon. It's unfortunate because I probably won't visit anymore, but I'm certain that they won't miss me.

I came here for the first time off a recommendation and I was extremely disappointed. The fried foods (chicken and fish) tasted like it was fried in old grease. The chicken was overcooked and basically burnt. The kool aid was the best thing I ordered.
