I was going home from a bike ride while on the beltway feeder and I had noticed this place before so I stopped by and tried the chicken fried steak and onion rings. The onion rings were great, they were not from a frozen bag, they seem homemade and fried just right, when you bite into them the whole onion doesn't come out like on others. The chicken fried steak was good and the mashed potatoes were more like a baked potato casserole which was great and the green beans had that homemade vibe..I will definitely be back to try the cheese burger and fried chicken

The chicken fried steak was average. I got it to go. Gave me a very small portion of gravy. Will not order another one although its less than a mile from my home. I can get a lot better one nearby.

It’s counter service( pay at front not dine in) so extra star, I been to a lot of industrial/ hardcore southern restaurants in Houston This is the best Chicken fried steak I tasted in the Houston area. The homemade white Texan gravy so perfect seasoned and the beans.

Went there after kids baseball games at baseball USA for lunch. We had a burger, CFS sandwich, CFS meal and French toast. It was all good! The fried shrimp were especially good.
Great place to go after spending the morning watching the kids play ball.
We will go back for sure!

Really good Chicken Fried Steak - served with nicely seasoned green beans and some awesome potatoes - - I’m guessing they were German style mashed potatoes. It’s an “order-at-the-counter” place, but they deliver your plate to your table. Several of the dishes that we saw come out of the kitchen looked really good - - so I know we’re going back for more! Restroom was clean and fresh. There was a steady flow of customers coming in and out, which is an indicator of a good spot for food!
