I was going home from a bike ride while on the beltway feeder and I had noticed this place before so I stopped by and tried the chicken fried steak and onion rings. The onion rings were great, they were not from a frozen bag, they seem homemade and fried just right, when you bite into them the whole onion doesn't come out like on others. The chicken fried steak was average. I got it to go. Gave me a very small portion of gravy. Will not order another one although its less than a mile from my home. I can get a lot better one nearby.
It’s counter service( pay at front not dine in) so extra star, I been to a lot of industrial/ hardcore southern restaurants in Houston This is the best Chicken fried steak I tasted in the Houston area. The homemade white Texan gravy so perfect seasoned and the beans.
