Started coming here since about 2018. I’ve been at least a couple times a year since then. Food is still BOMB! Hits the spot when I get my Cuba food cravings. My most recent visit was Friday evening. It was pretty quiet for a weekend. I wish I could get their batido de mango en leche recipe because no one can ever make it like theirs! My all time favorite is their pork. It’s always full of flavor. Honestly everything I’ve had is a hit.

I had the Cuban, pastry, and mango shake. The mango shake stole the show. The women working there are very nice.

Visiting from Austin, and had the pleasure of trying this restaurant. Surely, didn’t disappoint. Amazing flavors, reminded me of home. Great service and the place was super clean! Will be driving to Houston just to eat here. Thanks

Love everything about the restaurant. The food, customer service and ambience. One of my favorite restaurants to go have a nice meal.

One of the few and first Cuban restaurants here in Houston Texas. I've been eating at Cuban restaurants here in Houston since 1998. El Rey taquerias, down to a couple Cuban restaurants on bissonnet and rampart,
I came to this restaurant when it first opened and never got a chance to give it a review.
I went ahead and got the ropa vieja plate a very traditional Cuban plate.
Although the decorations on the wall and the restaurant itself give you a great feeling of the Cuban tradition. The service and the food don't match it.
You will feel as if you are not welcomed but I know that it's not it probably perhaps they lack the hospitality that Americans expect. When they go to an establishment.
I will say that when I first received my meal no one came to ask me if I needed anything which I did.
The rice and beans were great so would the plantains but the meat on the ropa vieja was very bland and dry. I know it's a dry plate but there's herbs that make it flavorful and it was lacking glavor

Do not be discouraged. Come try. I recommend it because it is one of the first generation wave of Cubans that have came Houston. So for that I recommend come try it and when you leave you leave with your own review.

Miami milanesa.
Update 02/21/25 I’m from Argentina and I know a little bit about milanesas , the one that I order today was excellent, super thin , not my preference but flavor was super close to the ones at the bodegones in Buenos Aires. Good quality and excellent service . Thanks
