This location, sadly, has permanently closed. Their lease ended and they claim to be looking for a new location. I was a customer at this restaurant for 20 years. Sad to see it close.
We were in one of our favorite bars near our condo and were looking for a place to eat. Several of the other patrons started talking about the Rockfish Grill so we thought why not. So glad we did, the place wasn't too busy so we got seated easily. Our server was friendly and helpful. They serve a variety of fish in a variety of ways. In fact, their motto is you be the Chef, pick you fish, pick the way it is cooked from grilled to blackened, and pick your topping/ sauce. We enjoyed their appetizer sampler first which had spinach dip which was superb, volcanic shrimp, onion rings and Bombs, which is shrimp, jalapeños, and cheese balls fried and served with remoulade sauce. Those were actually the BOMB, so tasty. After all that I had a crab Louie salad and George had a seafood pasta. All was extremely good. Oh and if you're a hush puppy fiend like me they have fantastic jalapeños hush puppies that are wonderful. Highly recommend.
The lady at the bar wasn’t ‘rude’ per say, but the way she went about serving me was. I came to pick up my order and waited about 10min before someone even walked over there to greet me and by that time another man had came in behind me. Once she finally came over she greeted him first , by name, which made me realize he’s a regular… she checked him out completely THEN finally got to me. I had been standing there waiting and looking dead at my order for so long i was already getting upset, then on top of that you greet the guy behind me first just because he’s a regular… terrible. It made it even worse that when i got home i realized i paid $6.77 for 4 small green tomatoes ?First and last time coming to this place…
Horrible, horrible, just awful! Food did not taste great at all and over priced. What I pay for I could have gotten at Pappadeaux's but I wanted to try something new.All but one of the wait staff were awful. Our waiter was not proficient in English and kept bringing us the wrong food. Food we did not even order . At one point he just forgot to bring my son's food .The kitchen area is open and you can see who is bringing your food. The one guy that brought our food was belching very loud and just being unprofessional. Will never dine there again.
I had the Santa Fe tacos .. totally awesome blackened shrimp tacos and the serving was off the hook. Excellent Apple cider slaw. Been coming here since it opened ..10yrs plus
We had an incredible time... Our waiter was amazing....
When I tell you I enjoyed my food it was an understatement. It was so good, so flavorful, seafood fried just right, cocktails on point, appetizers hit just right. I am in love. I ordered the Bourbon Street Trio and my appetizer were the bombs. OMG, flavors were off the chart. It was just so satisfying to spend your hard earned money and the food taste great. Thank you guys, keep up the good work, readers please tip your waiters 25% or more because they are working so hard with limited staff. Thank you guys for a fantastic meal and a fantastic night.
Now keep in mind they were short staffed but my service was great, food came out in a timely manner and my server was incredible. Laurel was bartending, taking care of tables, taking care of togos, and taking orders out to their cars. It was very impressive. I'm taking my food togo, so I will comment on the food later. Just needed to sing Laurel's praises!
Overall the ambiance gave a vintage cozy feel. Serve was good, everything came out at a good pace. Food and drinks were decent also
My grandmother and I always have trouble figuring out where to eat, so we ended up finding this place one day and now this is the spot that we go to every time we want to meet up. The service is good and the food is even better. I hate seafood but this is hands down my favorite seafood place. I usually just order the herb crusted chicken but everyone else in my family loves seafood so they actually get the seafood here and they say it's pretty good as well. 10/10 recommend!

The gumbo was lukewarm. I seriously want my gumbo served piping hot. I didn't know I had to bring my own gumbo filet. I asked that the gumbo be served with gumbo filet. If they didn't have any, I should have been told when I ordered. I would have been fine with something else. So then my entrée , the Bayou Trio (red beans & rice, crawfish etufé, and Jumbo Shrimp on cajun grits) came. Also lukewarm. There are 5 tables with people and an almost empty parking lot. What the heck?
Excellent food and wonderful service. Prices are great as well.
This was my first time here came with my family. Food was soooo good! Fresh! The steam pot is worth the money. Came with alot of seafood. If you dont like spicey dont get the all in. My daughter had a the shrimp po boy so good it was so filling and stuffed with shrimp. We also ordered the trio and the stuffed salmon. Super good as well. I dont think u can go wrong with anything on the menu. Servers were great we had the pleasure of having shelly she super nice and well rounded around the menu. Thank u all again for a great dining experience will be back when were in town again.
Great place to eat. Our waitress was awesome. Such a great person personality. I will definitely go again when in Houston.
Nice friendly staff, but food was nothing to write home about. The Shrimp Louie was a disappointment.
