walked in at 9:41 and tried to order a sushi roll. they told me they couldn’t take my other because they shut off the water. they close at 10pm

We went to Roka to celebrate a new job! It's one of the date night/special occasion spots in our rotation. The ambiance and decor is nice, service is great, but the food really steals the show. Top tier! Everything I've had is phenomenal!! The crispy fried squid, Robata grilled octopus, and sweet corn you MUST try. All AMAZING. The cheesecake desert is insane, completely delicious. To be honest though everything we have had there is good. The prime ribeye, the sushi rolls, the pork belly, the wagyu beef dumplings, and the yuzu miso black cod, yellowtail are all amazing and in rotation. Also If you enjoy a cocktail they have this Margarito with Tajin that is solid! I'm picky so not easy to please. Roka is top tier.

It was my girlfriend and I's first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed everything! Our server Ralph, and the manager Andrew, walked us through the entire menu and made sure we got the full experience! The sushi was fresh and the drinks were incredible. Thank you Andrew & Ralph for such a great experience! Can't wait to come back.

Wow. The sashimi we ordered was extremely fresh! My friend and I shared the blue fin tuna flight, and it definitely worth every penny! Apps we ordered were all amazing as well: shishito peppers, yellowtail sashimi, wagyu beef and kimchi dumplings. For a side, we ordered the wild mushroom rice hot pot. So rich and creamy, and makes you feel warm inside. And to top it off, the service was exceptional!

Great food and amazing waitresses however This restaurant was ill prepare for Valentine's Day compared to others I've been to in the past. I get that Valentine's Day is a busy day, but it's not a surprise and the hosting staff handled reservations and people poorly all night. Once you got passed what good be 30 min-1hr+ wait, the experience was far more enjoyable.

The hostess was rude and had a terrible attitude. My reservation was 8:45 but had to wait 45 min and still no table. Had to sit at the sushi bar to eat. Most others that I saw in the restaurant had the same experience, and was unhappy with the long wait even with a reservation.

The older host refused to give any time frame of when we'd be able to sit down even though we had a reservation. Very rude! The younger host was immediately able to give us a timeframe when asked and was very pleasant.

It was a great experience from beginning to end. It was very thoughtful of the team to provide roses for Valentine's Day. The team dynamic that put everything together from being seated, the drinks/food, and the knowledge of the dishes paired with management touching bases with our dining experience was wonderful. I work as a concierge and will continue to recommend this place.

Food was AMAZING , it was our first time here . Lorena our serve on the other hand lacked service, professionalism , service, was not attentive , we stopped many people in the mean time . Not only once to get a drink or even order our main dishes. She was too busy, management was great and we did make him aware of the situation. First receipt we got was without tip. So we assumed that was the total. In the end card was ran and tip was included for 20%. NOT OK. Next time just include it in the main bill. We would be aware. Be aware that a bill over 400 will automatically include a tip after they run your card.We will def come again ,yet Lorena could improve her attitude and service skills , specially if you are spending so much money in a place.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an omakase dinner at Roka Akor in Weslayan street and it was truly exceptional. The chef's expertly curated selection of dishes was a culinary journey that delighted my senses. Each piece of sushi was a work of art, bursting with fresh flavors and textures. The attention to detail and care in preparation was evident in every bite. The intimate setting and personalized service added to the overall experience, making it feel like a special treat. If you're a sushi lover or looking for a unique dining experience, I highly recommend trying omakase dinner. It's a memorable culinary adventure that will leave you wanting more! For this awesome dinner experience I would thank Andrew and Hein!

My girlfriend and I came down from NY for our anniversary over the weekend. Our hen and manager Andrew Burnstad made the night special. We got a 6 course meal experience. It was amazing from beginning to end. We might move down to texas and this is going to be our go to spot. I would recommend to anyone!

Had a GNO at Roka and we all left happy. Everything was delicious, but most memorable for me was the Ube Custard dessert!

We had such a great experience Han (hope I’m spelling the right)! He was so knowledgeable of all the dishes. We got the six course meal, which was so good, everything was spaced out, and timed perfectly. Would highly recommend! The manager Ricky came over and introduced himself, which was such a sweet thing to do. Honestly, we left very full, and with left overs - so it’s worth every penny.

I treated my friend to a birthday dinner here, we had the Decadence Chef's choice (that's not what it's called but the staff will know what you're referring to). It was AH-MAZING! The carefully curated 6 course meal was full of layered flavors, fresh ingredients, and just outright deliciousness! Wait staff are attentive, full of personality and pleasant. Definitely a must try!
