Dat and Angie made my experience here Amazing. They let me sample items on the menu that I would have never ordered. I got the box with chopped ribeye and pork belly. The amount of meat you get is enough to feed 2 people. They gave me the curry and alphabet soup to try and I ended up ordering more food than my stomach could handle. You have to go visit if you haven't been already and be ready for Dats warm greet when you enter!
Their banh mi taste amazing here. I would say the best menu item is the combination banh mi and the second would be the beef banh mi. Their vermicelli plates are also convenient when you don't want to eat with your hands and prefer a fork or spoon.

Always a great experience. The food is super fresh, affordable and tasty. My go to Banh mi is the chopped ribeye - always delicious and I love the crispy baguette. Another favorite of mine is the chopped ribeye box with salad or rice, go for the jalapeño cilantro dressing you won't regret it. Love this place!

Person handing to go order just threw my two orders in the bag trying to rush. flies flew everywhere and threw grabbed and picked up the fries and attempted to close box unsuccessfully with no regard to cross contamination and when i tried to place the boxes correctly he attempted to move me over out of the way.

This is beyond ridiculous 🙄 🤦. I ordered a TGTG bag. Before going, I asked if I could get a meatless option. I am vegetarian. The young girl said it's a surprise. Obviously, I understand. However, it has NEVER been an issue at the other 2 locations asking for a meatless option. So I stated, just leave the meat off of my dinner & add to the next customer. So when I arrived, I ordered a medium slaw salad and a tea. The girl handed me my order & and said she went ahead and placed the meat in a separate container in the event I wanted it or give it to someone else!! I simply stated well it either will go to the feral cats or the trash. Well, I get home & this young, unprofessional girl just attempted to scrap the meat off from my rice and didn't even attempt to make it look like she cared to give me a meatless rice plate, since traces of meat and brown sauce from the meat still on the rice. I always try to order additional items & provide good feedback, but this level of service is ridiculous.

Roostar is my favorite Bahn Mi and Thai Tea place. They're fast and fresh, one of my go-tos for a late night snack
Was gonna order of Uber eats but decided to drive over and get the food myself which turned out to be a great idea. I ordered the chopped ribeye banh mi and the curry nachos which are fire!! The staff was really nice and patient while I looked around to order. Felt like I was family there already. Thanks for the good experience

I usually dine at the Galleria location but decided to check out the Gessner location while I was in the area.
The food at this location is pretty much the same taste and quality as the other location. The only difference is that there is less seating at this spot.
I ordered the rib eye box plate, which comes with fried or Jasmine rice, with a side of salad and an egg roll. I ordered my plate with a side of fish dipping sauce, but they offer a variety of other sauces.
I like Roostar because they are very consistent with the taste and quality of their food, and it's a great spot to visit for a quick and easy lunch option.
Staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. They can get pretty busy for lunch, but when the food is good, you can't blame them for the crowd.
Courteous and quick counter service. Small number of tables and a counter by the front window for dine-in. Lots of pickup/takeout order business as a line formed while I was eating. The open kitchen gives off heat, as I sat at a table right next to it. The banh mi, wings, spring rolls are all excellent. A good selection of drinks and beer to go with the food.
Parking: Strip center parking can get crowded on weekend evenings, but usually not difficult to get a spot
