With our local guide, we decided to stop at this small, unassuming road-side soda on our drive from Guayabo National Monument to Irazu volcano. We are so glad we did - this might have been our favorite meal during our two weeks in Costa Rica. Not sure if there was even a menu; our guide helped us order - casado for all. The gorditas are always stuffed with the choice of meat I like and they never disappoint with the amazing flavor. They’re a good size and the salad on the side is a perfect combination. I recommend the gordita asada with cheese and potato or the chorizo, beans and cheese. If you’re at the flea market and crave something with flavor then Gorditas el sabor de Mi Pueblo is the place to go.
