Saltgrass Steak House

This isn't high-end, but it's very, very good steak for the money. Casual, and not over-priced considering the location. Pretty reliable and meets expectations.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Our server had poor communication, couldn't answer basic questions about the menu or food prices, and responded to questions by shrugging her shoulders and saying “nope.” It came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Good service is about respect and basic knowledge of what you're serving, and unfortunately this was completely lacking. This experience took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

Food was fantastic!! Range Rattlers were so good as well as the fried mushrooms! If you are lucky enough to have Vanessa as your server, you will enjoy your time even more!

I was here for 3 days. I ordered the same drink on Saturday night and Sunday night. I was charged 11.50 on Saturday night and almost 18.00 on Sunday night and the bartender Sunday night was rude and ignored customers.

Great service, as usual. The food was pretty good, though the cook was just a little heavy-handed with the pepper. It was still a good experience.

This was the best decision we've made in the 7 years we've been going to Encore Grand Nationals. We got seated on time. Got our food in a timely manner. They got my daughter's food out fast, as she had to leave to go meet w her coaches. She didnt finish so they boxed it up for us. Excellent service. Food was phenomenal.

This tiny amount of food isn't worth $20 per plate. It's supposed be chicken and sausage platter but I don't think platter is in the room with us.

Waited 25 minutes for a table with 4 of them open only to be seated ( others that came in after us were seated)and have no one come to our table although all the other tables were being served. No one even ask us for dink orders, brought water or anything BETTER PLACE JUST AROUND THE BLOCK, go there!

Salt grass in downtown Houston was one of the best I’ve been too clean friendly efficient. My steak was amazing is was like cutting into a piece of cake the potato soup was exactly how I hoped it would be my sides and all of my food was fresh and cooked to perfection and served with a smile I felt the warm welcome when I walked through the door Nadine! Greeted me with a smile and a cheerful hello and awesome service began. And Shawn manager was so awesome I felt like I knew him for a long time❤️ Sharod my server brought my food promptly and with a smile. You can tell that they must work for a good company cause everyone was so happy and in good spirits if I lived in Houston I would come here a lot and literally hang out I just wanted to share my experience. Come on and check them out I promise it’s so worth it ❤️

Whether you're passing by or live nearby Saltgrass Steak House is a great place to stop by for a bite to eat. My server Juan was amazing! Friendly, helpful and pointed me in the right direction for a delicious and filling meal. Will happily stop by again the next time I'm in Houston
