Born and raised 13 years in Singapore, roll over banana leaf and phat eatery if you want good authentic flavors Sambal chef is definitely the place to go

Chicken satay is v good, salted egg calamari and roti was good, beef rendeng was a little dry, but good flavor
Me and my wife went to Singapore few years ago and really missed kaya toast. This is the only place in Houston that has it, and it's awesome with the pandan flavor. We ordered kaya toast, Hainan chicken rice, salted egg calamari and Chili prawns and we could not finish it. The dishes are huge for the price. Totally recommend it.

Soooo gooood!!!! We ate at the Pearland location before it closed, and are so happy that we discovered the new location. Everything we got was delicious! Excited to come back and try more.

Don't sleep on this place, it's a must try. Always been a fan of Malaysian & Singaporean food. Sambal chef was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. I have tried 4 different dish so far and everything was delicious. 10/10

Excellent, rich food and great service! Huge portions, so come hungry - I couldn’t finish my soup so I got it to go, and after separating the noodles from broth they offered me extra broth to go! So considerate and thoughtful, and delicious !!! I will definitely be coming back. :)
