This is a multistate chain that is focussed on tacos. They have a standard menu and then seasonal options. Breakfast tacos also all day. The team at this location was helpful and friendly, even when I showed up 10 minutes before closing they were great. The shrimp taco was excellent and I enjoyed the fried avocado taco though the amount of refried beans on it overtook the avocado by a bit.
After a strong start when it opened, this restaurant has begun to become below average. The most recent experience began at the cashier, where I got the feeling I was bothering her by ordering. She was rather rude in taking my order, but at least got it correct. No questions about "Do you want anything else with that?" or anything similar. The food isn't really inexpensive, considering what you get for your money, although it is decent. It no longer gets the large crowds at lunch that it used to, and better standard tacos are available at most TexMex restaurants.
It was amazing, the food was perfect and the employees were very nice. The food I got was the brushfire and the Mr. Orange. I haven't been to torchy before and this was my first time. I was very excited because my friends and family have been urging me to get a small meal, even just a sample. Again the waiter said hello and was very nice to me, so that was really nice because I got fired from work that day. Anyway, the food was amazing and I recommend it very much. Anyone who see's this, don't get fired!!!!
OK, my review for the San Felipe Torchy’s may be a bit biased. While I was sitting in line one morning to enter a nearby grocery store (due to COVID-19) an employee from Torchy’s came by offering free breakfast tacos for the folks waiting to enter the store. Of course, that gesture made me stop by for a Togo order before heading home. My tacos were fine. The only negative was that considering that the restaurant was empty at the time of my arrival, I thought the wait time was a little long. However, I will go back when in the area.
Coming soon in spring 2020. Can’t wait to try it.
