Went there for iftar buffet and for $35+ tax+ gratuity. This was disappointing!
6 main dishes, 2 desserts, and fountain drink. On top of that, they are charging for kids 3yr old 🙄

Long wait and they gave me the wrong order
Iftar today was a huge letdown. The food was cold, and the variety was very limited. The staff was disorganized, and there were long lines for everything. Definitely not worth the price.
I came for iftar buffet. The dates and lentil soups are very delicious. The main buffet is of average variety. With only one option of salad which is disappointing. Main entrees included chicken, lamb and shrimps, but the best was the kebabs. The grape leaves malfoof is over salty.
The service is not perfect, not because of staff, staff were really polite and active. But they could not catch up with so many tables. I strongly recommend hiring more people, specially during Ramadan l.

Had a disappointing iftar tonight. We showed up before iftar and were told the restaurant was fully booked, but we could sit outside. Fine. Except they provided no dates or water to break the fast with since we were outside. An hour later the inside restaurant was still half empty.
There was a definite lack of variety on the buffet. The food was underseasoned. Other restaurants have much more variety. When we went in for a 2nd round on the buffet, they entirely cleared our table, including the water and silverware! We had to get the table busser who spoke no English or Arabic to bring new silverware because there was no waiter or waitress in sight. I had to eat my 2nd plate with no water.
By this point, the entire iftar meal was ruined. We were both disappointed and irritable. They never brought the sweets out before we left an hour later. Really disappointed. Terrible value. I'll probably never dine here again. There are definitely much better iftar buffets in Houston.

I had a very disappointing experience with AlSayad Restaurant. I placed an order by phone two hours in advance for pickup, expecting it to be ready on time. When I arrived, I still had to wait 15 minutes, only to find out my order wasn’t even ready yet. I ended up canceling it, but by then, I was already late for my appointment.
If the restaurant cannot handle phone orders efficiently, they shouldn’t take them in the first place. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I won’t be ordering from here again.

We once booked a party, the food and event was great. After that everytime we dined at this restaurant the quality has declined.
Disappointing Experience!!!
Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was underwhelming. The waitstaff had an unwelcoming attitude, with rude demeanor and expressionless faces. They got our order wrong, charged us for it anyway, and were unwilling to make it right. The food itself was bland and lacked flavor.
Despite having very few customers, they seemed in a rush to clean our table, even asking me to move while carrying my baby just to get their salt and pepper shaker back—definitely not a hospitable experience. To top it off, they were stingy with to-go containers and didn’t provide exactly what we requested. Overall, the lack of service, poor food quality, and unwelcoming staff made for a disappointing dining experience. Would not return!!!

All Houstonians need to do themselves a favor and stop eating at restaurants where the dishes are overpriced and under deliver. Sayad brings real value to the consumer. The dishes, the portion sizes, and the unobtrusiveness of the servers are a gem. It’s clear the owner wants to bring real value to families and the community. We spent a total of $100. For that price, lamb chops, mixed kabobs, 3 quail, and the clay pot ouzi (goat). I repeat, 4 full entrees for $100. All dishes came with sides. We had plenty leftover.

A beautiful and clean Halal restaurant, we first visited Sayad in the previous branch in Westheimer and today was our first visit to their new branch, we really enjoyed the food, ambiance and above all the usual amazing service and warm welcome, special thanks to Mani and Robin Hassan for their excellent hospitality and great customer care
