Friendly staff. Excellent food.
I got the half chicken meal with mash potato’s and green beans. Absolutely hands down amazing fall off the bone chicken. The juice comes with it is great. The herbs n spices mixed into this is crazy good flavor.

Relaxed with a home-y ambiance, Shandy’s offers great food for a quick and easy dinner. The spinach and artichoke dip was superb and the shrimp campeche was fresh as well. Definitely a nice spot to grab a few bites!
I truly wanted to like Shandy’s—it’s close to our home, the owner has a Caribbean background, and the restaurant has built a solid following online. Unfortunately, after two visits, it’s clear this won’t be a place we return to.
On our most recent visit, I made a point to engage with the owner, offering congratulations on her apparent success. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the interaction felt dismissive, especially compared to the warmth she showed other patrons at the bar. For me, genuine customer service and friendliness matter greatly, and this was an immediate disappointment.
The experience continued to decline. The glass of wine I ordered tasted clearly off, as if it had come from an old bottle. The highly praised cheeseburger was excessively salty and greasy, and the portion of fries was shockingly small—I counted just eight fries on the plate.
In the end, we left without finishing the meal or the wine. With multiple issues across service, quality, and value, I won’t be returning.

Didn’t stay long enough to try the food which is too bad considering this was our FIRST time here. Owner was friendly at first, allowing us to sit outside with our dog even though they closed the tables they were going to open them up - so I give it 3 for that. However things turned ugly.
The restaurant owner came out and rushed our dog causing him to jump. She had the audacity to knee him in the chest when he was pulled down by the dog owner who was attempting to stop him. So he didn’t even TOUCH her. Who knees a RANDOM dog when YOU caused the problem? She repeated this multiple times and continued to walk towards him AS he was being pulled away for HER safety. She became infuriated when we said he is now nervous and may lunge so again for her own safety we pulled him away/kept him away. She angrily tried to parent us about kneeing the dog so he doesn’t jump - It’s not your dog, don’t tell us what to do. Don’t rush a dog in the first place. Go ahead and get bit next time or cause a dog to break its leg, good luck. It happens. We had him BY THE LEASH and didn’t allow him to touch her but she pressured on trying to parent the dog? Weird.
She went inside and mimicked the entire situation looking like a fool.
We took our money elsewhere and will not be recommending this place to anyone. It was ugly behavior from an adult. If it’s not your dog, listen to the dog owner. It could’ve been a nice evening but just totally turned because she had to behave like a child. Someone should correct her poor behavior since she’s so ready to correct other people’s dogs.

I thought the drinks and the bar were superb... until I ordered some food! The quality of the food is outstanding. The prepare everything in front of you while at the bar! The salads and main courses were outstanding. The fresh guacamole and chips were amazing.

Good home cooked food. The recipes are simple but pack flavor. I was craving chicken salad or tuna salad and someone said the pork chops were to die for… so I ordered it all! We cleaned our plates. Sloshed it down with a few “bees knees” and now very satisfied.
Not fussy and I would call it a modern diner. Good background music and normally I would drink at least 3-4 Bees knees, but not tonight- too full. The owner, Shandy, works it and I just love the hometown vibe.
I always sit at the bar and I am amazed at how clean the kitchen is! Like it’s pristine…
