Not all shipley's are made the same, unfortunately, and the servings from this original location are so very delicious. You'll be lucky to catch them making freshly glazed donuts.

I have found my spot for New Orleans style beignets in Houston, just wish it wasn’t so far from my home. They are light and fluffy and have a big hollow airy hole in center. Reminds me of how sopapillas look where you put honey in the center. I wonder how honey would go with these....hmmm. Best all around. Nice indoor dining area also and 24 hrs. Hoping they start making the beignets in more of their chains! Very reasonably priced too! Got 4 for $5
