Came today for an apple fritter. Walked up and a lady in a pink shirt asked can I help you?Asked for said apple fritter and she looked at me like I lost my mind. I asked again and she turned her back on me and walked away to not return. Stood back and waited. Someone else walked up and she served them no problem.I'm in uniform. Clean cut. Clean shave. No excuse to say she thinks I'm homeless or lost.Horrendous service and I will never be back.Don't bring anyone you care about here. They'll treat you like dirt.

This location has the absolute worst service of any Shipley's I've ever been to and I've been to nearly all of them in Houston. Always unfriendly, they prioritize delivery app orders over the people standing in front of them. In fact, they completely ignore you and just keep working on the other orders. Today, I arrived at 6:05 am. They open at 5:00 am and the gate was still down and they were only working on delivery orders, completely ignoring the 10+ people standing out front of them. Terrible service. They will not get my money anymore.

We had a large to-go order of glazed. They were warm and fresh and oh so delicious!! They got devoured. “That might be the best donut I’ve ever had” was heard frequently all morning! Get you some!

I've had problems with this location. But they rectified the error in the past. But today I think made me realize im.not spending any money in the future. My main issue is their prices are almost double of other shipleys...but I get it rent is diff downtown. But I usually spend about 10 bucks 3 times a eeek, give or take a milk. Today's issue was I was rang up for 2 donuts and a small jalapeño cheese kolache, it's like 7 bucks. I swipe my card nothing. I swipe my card again nothing. I tell the guy, I just got paid I have plenty of cash I think its your register. He just looks at me and rolls his eyes and looks to the customer behind me. Doesn't say anything so after about a 3 minutes of awkward silense and like 6 swipes I just leave. Go down to Whataburger order a breakfast on a bun combo, swipe zip zap paid and enjoying my breakfast. For the price and weird behavior I'll just go to whataburger, starbucks or corner bakery moving forward.

I ordered a box of half a dozen donuts at 6 AM on Wednesday, 25 October.I was really craving a donut -it has been a while -and I recently watched a video on how proper donuts are made. I know that there are not any authentic donut shops in the area, but I thought a classic Krispy Kream would satiate my appetite.Shipley is about a fifteen minute walk from work, but it is the closest donut location according to Google Maps. After getting back to work and opening up the box, I devoured the Boston Cream. It was delicious, but only by way of the custard. the dough was heavy and brittle.I was appalled by the next donut I pulled from the box; it was a chocolate glazed donut with walnuts, and there was already a bite taken from it.Someone had taken a bite out of a donut and placed it back on the display rack. At that point, any and all donuts proffered to customers could be contaminated; my box has been contaminated; I have been contaminated.I have thrown the box out, and I cannot go back. If a used donut has been offered to me for consumption (sorry, not "offered" but rather "sold," as I have actually paid to eat someone else's leftover), then I don't want to imagine the horrors that occur behind the counter. As I think that, images involuntarily flash in my mind: someone dipping their fingers into the cream to give it a taste before injecting it into the donuts; someone spitting out walnut bits to sprinkle onto the hardening icing; donuts falling off a tray, and the employee picking them up off the ground, blowing the dust off, and placing the donuts back upon the tray.Insert vomit emoji.Edit: I cannot in good conscience delete my review; the evidence provided to counter my thoughts only proved that the donut was clearly missing a bit. I feel that all parties are responsible for this gross mishap: the server for giving me a donut that is not whole, myself for not paying attention to the items being placed in the box, and especially the individual who took a bite out of a donut and placed it back on the tray of goods to be served to the public.I am sorry that I did not reply to your reply; but in my defense, you only asked me to delete the review after I saw that I was not given a partially consumed donut. Since the evidence does show that I was given a bad donut, I left the review as is.I will say, though, that the corporation has been kind. They apologized for my experience, and they provided me coupons for a couple of free donuts. I was not expecting any compensation, but it did lead me to try other Shipleys. Luckily, I have not experienced a similar occurrence in either the Humble or the Kingwood locations.

Best donuts ever! If I were in Batman Forever and had to choose between saving Shipley’s or saving my family, I would save Shipley’s. The world would be a colder place without them in it and everybody should experience the warmth of glazed do’ns in their mouth!

The donuts are really good if you come in the morning when they're made fresh! The donuts came out fairly quick.

I’m rating them 2.5 stars. The fact that the donuts were stale are partially our fault. We should have not visited the place near lunch time. I can tell their donuts are good, if fresh. As for the kolaches, they are nothing but over priced hotdogs. At least they have invested in a decent coffee maker. However, the main reason for my low rating is their service. The lady behind the counter couldn’t be bothered. She took our order one donut at a time and put them in individual bags. After the 3rd order she asked yet again, “anything else?” To which I answered yes, a lot more. She then proceeded the do the exact same thing, one donut at a time, in individual bags.

When are these people gonna hire some new people it’s ridiculous to have to wait 1 hr for a mobile order

Daniel Solache

Would give it a 5 star but service is slow, it’s usually one person working by themselves. Other than that delicious place.

Worst. Place dont recommend it to nobody

Truth Matters

Absolutely the worst Shipleys. They are slow and it's always just 3 people working. The worst place to pick up for delivery.
