The food quality was terrible. I ordered the special combo (dosa, idli, and vada). The dosa was soggy, and the vada was drenched in oil. I asked them to replace it with idli, as it was clear they don’t know how to prepare South Indian food properly.
The North Indian thali itself was edible, but the chapatis ruined the experience. They were extremely hard to chew and had a rubbery texture. Overall, the food quality was poor and highly disappointing.

I ordered sev puri over Uber Eats and all they sent was padding and sev, some chutney and potato, cilantro. There was no chaat masala, no onions, it was meager for 13 bucks. Disappointed to the core. I used to love Shiv Sagar.

Before I went there, I had called them for “to go order “ But When I arrived there, they told me that to go orders are not available anymore I literally drove 30 minutes to reach this place And I even told them that my daughter is sick. She’s just four months old and she cannot be in public that’s why I wanted to go order. The lady at the cash counter was pretty rude. I told her the reason why am I not eating there. But still she did not take my order. She didn’t even care I was leaving . It was a horrible customer service experience. Then I called them again after 10 minutes and I told her that I want to speak to the owner, they told me the owner is not here . I asked when the owner is going to come .They said they don’t know. When I was on the phone after all this talk, the guy was like I can take your order now . I told him No I’m not coming back here ever again

Shiv Sagar is hands down one of the best spots in Houston for authentic vegetarian Indian food. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with care from the perfectly spiced pav bhaji to the crispy dosas and rich curries. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality and the recipes are authentic.

We forgot my child’s shoes on Monday and when we went to pick up on Thursday , they say they have trashed the shoe. My son is a special child and the shoe was exclusively made for him, expensive and nevertheless they trash the shoes in 3 days. This is the kind of business they do ! Worst experience ever ! Shame on you !

I came by to pick up an order and I was extremely shocked by the customer source service, considering it was not busy.
The woman behind the car counter was shorter skinny and had glasses. I’m not sure if it was just the day or if she’s like this all the time, but she was very rude and not accommodating at all. There was no smiles. No hi how are you? I asked a question and she shoved me in a couple customers off.
I feel like a place where you feel your family with food because they are hungry. Should be inviting warm and welcoming, especially if you were getting paid for it.
Please retrain your staff so they can adhere to today’s expectations & standards!

This was infuriating. I placed my order before 9 PM, watched it say ‘on the way’ for almost two hours, and then found out from the driver that the restaurant closed an hour ago. Yet my order was still active and paid for. Why was my order even accepted? Why did I have to wait until 10:40 PM for a cancellation? Terrible delivery service.
