Went the first time the other day with my husband for lunch. We sat at a regular table and he got steak and rice hibachi and I got the chicken and shrimp with fried rice. Typically I go to ichibon which is another Japanese hibachi place on the other side of town. I've been desperately craving that kind of food so we decided to give this a try. So this place is pretty average prices actually they're cheaper than ichibon so I appreciated that because for my husband and I to both get a big plate plus drinks other than water it was around $50 before tip. At the other place I've gone to that would've been easily $65 before tip. So I did appreciate that the prices aren't too outrageous. The food was good and flavorful. Is it my favorite hibachi ever? No. However seeing as it's quite close to my house and I do crave that kind of food often I would definitely come back. Next time I'd love to bring my son to experience his first hibachi place! 4/5 as I'm just used to the flavors at the other place so that's what I'm comparing it to.
Tony our chef was awesome. Friendly and fast!

My name is Jacob, I’m a head chef in a Italian style restaurant and I like to expand my pallet and try a variety of foods, recently I’ve been diving into sushi and raw fish dishes and this place by far has the best I’ve had in a long time, the kind that makes your head kick back close your eyes and just enjoy the food, I typically order the dragon roll from all places, I really enjoy eel but this place takes the number one spot for it, and my server who was very kind and took his time to talk to me recommended me the phoenix roll, safe to say I will always be taking their recommendations because this was a great experience overall thanks to my server jace and the cook Leo, I will definitely be coming back frequently with my friends and family.

I agree with other customers that The food has been getting worse. The rice is often crunchy (not sure if it is undercooked or stale) and even fried it wasn't worth eating this last trip. I made sure to order $60 worth of food to stay within my budget. When I receive My bill it was $136.00. I overpaid for very mediocre service and food. The staff who cooked our food at this Japanese restaurant spoke Spanish with the family from Mexico the entire time as if they all knew each other. We pretty much got ignored the entire time. I don't see why my bill was over $100. They charged $18 for gratuity and $8 for taxes and charged for extra rice. Just money hungry. Why sit is with others if you are going to make us share then overspend.
Don't go here if you are African American. Honestly, you will regret it . The floors are sticky and the food needed some flavor. I do not recommend.

It was a fun outing. If you get steak pay a few extra dollars for the fillet. So worth it!

We've given this location several chances and keep running into mediocre service and poor food quality.
Service wise, the host stand is not great. They seem very confused, don't communicate (on the phone while dealing with us) other than hand waves and look put out. A couple times we've had waiters tell us the host stand didn't tell them they had a table waiting.
The general upkeep looks rough, lots of tears on chairs, beat up menus that look burnt and things looking grungy.

The portion sizes were fine but the chicken was overcooked and dry.
The hibachi chef was entertaining, and our waiter kept our drinks filled which was a bonus, no complains about them.
But as an overall experience we won't be coming back. And I love hibachi overall so this is a sad review to make.

I went here yesterday for a dinner and left highly disappointed. There was a roach on the table and another on the floor. Once our chef finally came out our rice was hard as a rock. The server kept sighing as if we were a nuisance. Will never be back again!!

The crunch dog roll is really really good. It beats the other places I eat sushi all the time but the flavors are spot on here!

good food and service but made us pay 20 extra dollars on a two person menu just because we split it in 5.
Horrible service. Food was decent. Took an hour to get served at the hibachi table. Took another 20 minutes to get our check. At least we know not to go back.
This was my first time going to Shogun it was a great experience 😉 the wait time wasn’t long and the waiter Thomas done a great job of explaining the many options they have.Food was very delicious

It was very quiet here on a Friday night for some reason. The service was polite, not too over the top. While the sushi and dumplings were tasty, portions could have been a little larger for their prices. Their sushi chef also needs a little work in tightening his roll work. The restaurant itself was also in need of a deep cleaning of the floors and booths.
