I’m not kidding, Carlton made the BEST lemon drop I ever had! No syrup no artificial flavors, all natural and strong ! He the reason the hotel is amazing! Thank you thank you 💙

This spot offers some of the best dim sum I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic flavors and a pleasant dining experience. Service was attentive without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed weekend brunch or dinner. Our waiter, Tyler, was kind enough to bring us an off-the-menu osmanthus jelly dessert to try!
My husband and I's favorite is the Cheung fun with crispy shrimp — it's a must-try! We loved it so much that we ordered two. We also tried their xiao long bao, chive dumplings (off-the-menu special), mushroom bao, chicken puff (off-the-menu special), and siu mai. The variety of dishes made it easy to sample a little of everything, and each bite was consistently flavorful.
There are many other dim sum places that are much cheaper, but if you want quality dim sum over quantity, this is your spot.

Have eaten dim sum in china, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, NYC. This is the best!
We tried the crispy shrimp cheung fun, Xiao long bao, chive dumplings, chasiu bao, and the custard baos. Everything was fantastic, the sauce pairings were delicious and the atmosphere and service was great! We will be back!

I always enjoy coming to The Silk Road Restaurant. The menu is thoughtfully laid out with a wonderful variety of options. I really appreciate watching the servers in action — they're friendly, knowledgeable, and work together seamlessly. No matter when you raise your hand for attention, one of them is right there to help. They never say, “I'll get your server,” — instead, they step in immediately to take care of you. It's such a refreshing example of great teamwork and genuine hospitality.
Excellent dim sum which are like tapas for Chinese food. We enjoyed every dish, and we are three hard-to-please foodies. Flavors and textures were all different and unique. Very attentive service and dishes came out one at a time with perfect timing. The Koran Mule cocktail was very good, but special shout out to Penicillin #6, which was delicious.
One star off atmosphere because, well, as much as they have fairly successfully obscured the fact that you are in the lobby of a Marriott Courtyard, that is, in fact, where you are.

The food was good and everything came out fresh, and the service was solid. That said, it’s still on the pricey side—especially for a restaurant inside a Marriott. I paid $13 for four small pieces of shrimp cheung fun, which felt outrageous. For that price, I could easily get a much more generous portion (and better value overall) in Bellaire Chinatown.

Delicate. Not overly greasy. Amazing taste.
This is the best dim sum I’ve had across OC, Flushing, and Houston for the dishes they serve.
Terrible name for a restaurant. Weird location. Kind of pricey. Not a long menu. But it’s good. If you think you’ll like it from the pictures, you’ll probably love it.
It’s not the classic rough push cart overcooked dry taste.
Only dish I wish was better is the crispy shrimp Cheung fun. It could be more crispy.
The food was decent, but definitely on the pricey side—especially for a restaurant inside a Marriott. I paid $13 for four small pieces of shrimp cheung fun, which felt outrageous. For that price, I could get a much more generous portion (and better value overall) in Bellaire Chinatown.
It’s inside a Marriott Hotel with not too big of a dinning space. However environment is great, the service is just at the right point, and the tea cups are very cute.
Xiao Long bao is highly recommended and you won’t find a same quality from any other restaurants or frozen ones you get from Costco or HEB.
Har Gaw on the left of the first pic is impressive with bouncy and fresh shrimp inside.
The seared turnip cake is a classic one but you won’t find the dried mini shrimp inside this one.
Stir fried noodle is not bad but overpriced.

The cocktails, bartender, server ! Best part of the experience . Everyone was super attentive and I couldn’t have asked for a better team that served us tonight. Shout out to the team tonight 10/17 ✨ first time trying a penicillin and the golden something it was phenomenal. The food was good you’re better off ordering one of each if you’re hungry as they’re tapas . The noodles were amazing , crunch shrimp , soup dumplings and so was tonight’s dumpling spinach special, wow. Place was kind of empty so it may be either lowkey or people aren’t aware of this tiny gem but I’d go again. We have to go back for tea . Thank you!!

Dim sums were really good — fresh and flavorful, easily the best part of the meal.
But a couple of fried rice dishes were over $23, and the noodle (not on the menu) was $25 — small portion and honestly, the taste wasn’t that great either.
Would come back just for dim sum, but not for the rest. Prices and portions could use some adjustment.

Silk Road is a fantastic addition to the Houston restaurant scene! While Houston has outstanding Asian restaurants, Silk Road ranks at the top of the list. I can't wait to return!
