Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

My experience over all was very…. underwhelming :(

I arrived about 15 min after opening.
The atmosphere is nice, quiet, clean and welcoming. Not busy at all. I came alone and sat in a small 2 seater booth.

I ordered a Honey Oat milk latte and vegan pancakes. I kindly sent both of them back because they were cold. The Latte was cold and very sweet. The pancakes were bland, had a gummy texture and the fruit wasn’t fresh.

(I received new items because the restaurant doesn’t have a microwave but the taste and texture was still lackluster.)

The server I had seamed nice but she was barely attentive. If there was anything I needed like I extra syrup, water or napkins; she wasn’t around for me to ask. I assumed she was busy so I thought it wasn’t a big deal.
Until she gave me my check(that I didn’t even ask for) after I had just begun eating. Slightly offended by the subpar service and rushed checkout, I decided to leave. I had to leave my table and find her in order to check out and asked for a To-go box because I didn’t know when she’d be back.
I spoke with the manager and told her about my experience. She was nice and apologized.

I left feeling like I could’ve kept my money and had mushy pancakes at home. Overall it was as very Mid. I’d get it a C-

Edit: Since my previous review Snooze A.M. had really stepped up their game. Staff is friendly, food is hot and delicious. I recant my previous review.

The prep for delivery ! They’re were no utensils in the bag nor a straw to eat or drink the food. The drink was small like as if it was a kid size cup. Not the same size as it would be if you were ordering in restaurant. Nothing like the Snooze food quality or service like in the Montrose area.

Very Good Food. We waited 30 minutes but there was a Starbucks in front and we went for a coffee. First class attention.

My wife and I went in for brunch , to begin with the server was rude no introduction to the table , I have been in the industry for a very long time and this visit to this establishment was absolutely a mess . The server took our order was definitely incorrect my wife order a mimosa she sent it back because it tasted like old orange juice . The server response which I don’t even know his name , the response was well I don’t know why it taste old I saw her open a new bottle and it’s fresh . What is the point of arguing about it just take it back and make a new one . Serving it’s very simple not sure what is up with your server but definitely needs to be re- trained . My wife and I had our 6 month old with us that day and we had asked for a high chair he stated I have other tables to take care of it’s going to be a minute , in a very rude tone . I am not an aggressive person or even remotely difficult but there was no reason to give an answer like that and not to mention after someone else brought the meals out he never returned to check on us my wife didn’t eat her food , she had to get up to go get a box from bartender . I would like to be contacted by manager or GM and I expect a full refund on this matter I will not be coming back to this place , I am a culinary director for a fine Tex Mex in Houston and let me tell you that I felt disrespected and disappointed by this establishment. I expect this matter to be resolved asap!

Snooze is an absolute breakfast treasure! I had the pineapple upside-down pancakes, and they were incredible—big, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The caramelized pineapple and sweet drizzle on top made every bite pure perfection. My fiancé ordered eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast, and everything was cooked to perfection. The bacon was especially impressive—thick, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Another person in our group enjoyed the ham and cheese Benedict and the pork Benedict, and both were equally outstanding. The retro decor added a fun, nostalgic vibe to the restaurant, making the experience even more enjoyable. Not only was the food amazing, but it also arrived exactly as we ordered it. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot with incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere, Snooze is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back!

Delicious! Tried the pancake flight for the table - so yummy! The double bacon egg sandwich with pork belly was so good! Lots of umami going on in that sammie!
