As a Caribbean person in Houston I’ve had a hard time finding authentic Caribbean cuisine. I stumbled across Sonia’s Kreyol Kitchen on uber. I’m happy that I gave it a try. I was skeptical. I thought it was going to be another disappointment. Not so. I got the griot with rice and peas. The rice and peas were cooked to perfection. The cabbage pikliz especially was so tasty. It went great on the griot. I would return. I’m happy to have found some good Haitian food in Houston.

I ordered the legumes, And it came with very little meat. For $27 it wasn’t worth it. I also got a side of fried turkey for a friend and it was really good, but I was very disappointed With the legumes.

The BEST Haitian food in Houston! I’ve been eating here for two years now and honestly the food keeps getting better. I’m a chef so I don’t compliment people’s food much but SONIA’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston
